   After spending... longer than what you'd like to admit sitting in Fuyuhiko's cottage after he left, you decided to finally leave yourself. 

However, as soon as you enter the restaurant, you see chaos had already broken free.

Hiyoko, of course, initiated it. "You just eat too much, Akane."

"You're one to talk. All you eat is candy," Akane scoffs.

Hiyoko purses her lips. Chey, just because it's candy doesn't mean you should make fun of it. These gummies have four different fruit flavors, so I'm sure they're full of nutrients."

Akane hums, placing a hand on her hip. "You should just eat real fruit."

As the conversation continues, you can't help but stare off into space. Why had Fuyuhiko left so suddenly? And why was he holding that envelope so closely?

Where did he even get the envelope!?

Gyndham pulled you from your thoughts when he spoke. "... is Mahiru missing?"

"Huh?" You asked. You hadn't even noticed she was gone.

After everyone looks around, Nekomaru spoke. "She's always here. Every morning. It's strange for her not to come..."

Sonia presses her hand together. "I wonder if she is not feeling well..."

"If she just doesn't feel good, that's fine," Kazuichi hums. "But there's a small chance that she's..."

Hiyoko gasps. "A small chance that she's what!?"

Akane lifted her eyes up to look at everyone, her mouth full. "Hm? I shaw Mahiwu. Fhe wash outfide fa hotel."

Barely able to comprehend it, you managed to make out thr words. So Akane saw Mahiru outside the hotel. So she wasn't dead, that's good!

Kazuichi chuckles and scratches the back of his neck. "O-oh, I see..."

"Jeez, don't say such a spooky thing!" Hiyoko sighs in relief before clapping her hands together with a giggle. "As punishment, why don't you spin around in a circle three times, say 'woof', and jump off a cliff?"

You sigh. "Jesus... harsh."

"I- I don't wanna die like that!" Kazuichi exclaims. 

You tilted your head, getting back on track. "Well... what was Mahiru doing just... outside the hotel...?" 

Akane looks uneasy talking to you, but answers nonetheless. "She said she wanted to be alone. I even asked her to come eat with us, but she turned it down."

"... want to be alone?" Peko hums, a strange, unidentifiable expression on her face.

Mikan clears her throat. "M-maybe shexs pzplanning to play that game..?"

"What are saying, pig barf!?" Hiyok snapped. "Mahiru would never play video games! She's not like that slowpoke gamer girl over there!"

Everyone is silent for a moment. After a long silence, Chiaki hums in calm realization. "Ah, were you referring to me?"

"Eek! I am pig barf, aren't i...?" Mikan panicked, and you let out a sigh. 

"Jesus christ..."

Then you started to think... that envelope... Fuyuhiko was acting weird... and all of a sudden, Mahiru wanted to be alone... 

Did one of them play the game? 

We're they allies or some shit?

But while you were lost in thought, Ibuki sat down beside you.

"Just so you know, I don't hate you for trying to kill Sonia," she smiles abruptly. 

You blink. "Oh, uh... thanks?"

It was a bit comforting to know that someone still liked you...

"Anyway, so, all the girls were planning to swim later today!" She grins.

"Uh-huh...?" You hummed, uninterested.

Ibuki keeps talking. "Most of them didn't wanna invite you, because you're an attempted murderer and all."

Gee, thanks...

"But Ibuki wanted to!" She continues. "So, today, meet us at the diner at around 2:45. Wear a rockin' hot swimsuit too!" She exclaims before leaving just as quick as she arrived.

You blink in confusion, but you really had no choice now...
