Sonia nodded. "Yes, finding Mahiru's killer is our priority. There should be a new clue in what Hiyoko told us. So, let us believe Hiyoko's words, and discuss it once again with everyone!"
"Yep yep!" Monomi grins. "The debate proceeds when you assume you can believe each other!"
Fuyuhiko scoffed, crossing his arms. "Dumbasses... You bastards don't know anything. If you think you can trust each other... The only thing waitin' for you is the bitter truth."
Ibuki poked two of her finger together. "Well, now that we decided to believe Hiyoko... now what?"
"If the killer was luring Hiyoko into a trap," Chiaki began. "Then something that was used there might be a clue..."
"Do you mean the letter?" Peko inquired.
Chiaki shook her head. "No... it was probably the gummy," she glanced at Hiyoko, "Hey... when you woke up, was the gummy already there?"
Hiyoko gasped. "Now that you mention it, I feel like it wasn't!"
"Just as I thought..." Chiaki hummed. "If the killer planted the evidence while Hiyoko was there, she would've thrown it away."
"The killer returned to the scene of the crime? After I left?" Hiyoko gasped again.
"The killer never left," you sighed. "It would be a whole new hassle if they left, stayed gone until the saw you leave, and come back. They must've hid somewhere inside the beach house."
Hiyoko huffed. "That's impossible! There's nowhere to hide!"
After a few minutes of silence, Hajime finally spoke. "Do.... you think the killer might have actually been hiding?"
Hiyoko scoffed. "You spent all that time thinking just to say something so useless... how disappointing! Didn't I just say there was no where to hide? Do I have to say in another language for you to understand?"
Ibuki gasped. "Her personality got a hell of a lot more forceful once she stopped being a suspect!"
"No, there should have been somewhere to hide," Hajime muttered. "A place you didn't look, Hiyoko."
"S-stop being annoying! Or I'm gonna make Akane bop you on the head and shut you up for good!"
"The killer was probably hiding in the closet," Hajime answered regardless.
Hiyoko gasped. "The closet!? But thats where I was locked up!"
Hajime sighed. "You said you rushed out as soon as you woke up. So you probably didn't look inside the closet very carefully."
Peko held her chin. "But could two people even hide in such a small space? And without Hiyoko knowing?"
"That's why they were sure to arrange a hiding place." Chiaki said.
Hajime blinked. "What about the surfboard case in the closet? I'm pretty sure they could have hidden there."
Chiaki nodded. "The shelf that case was on was messy. Surfboards that weren't even in a case were on there. They probably did that to secure a hiding place."
you looked down at the floor, thinking. "So, the killer was right next to Hiyoko the whole time... holding their breath and staying still. So when Hiyoko left, the killer left too..."
Nagito nodded. "Agree with that!"
"Seriously, nobody asked what you think," Akane spat.
Nagito sighed. "There's no way the killer would leave Hiyoko by herself if they were trying to frame her."
