~ Soobin's POV ~
Skiing is fun, the others said. Kai and Beomgyu were on our backs for weeks now, that we should go skiing in the winter, so after long discussions with the managers, we finally got permission. We chose Switzerland as our location, booked a cabin in the woods and plane tickets, and we were ready to go days before the plane departed.
We were all really excited, even though management warned us, that it could be a very dangerous sport. I watched multiple videos on how to ski, but ultimately I decided, to take skiing lessons there.
We arrived on a beautiful, sunny afternoon, although the Sun was just a decoration: it was actually freezing. I underestimated how cold it would be, so all the way to our cabin, I was shaking from the cold. There, we found a beautiful, brick fireplace, which we made use of.
In the evening, the maknaes drove to the nearest town to buy pizzas for dinner and lunch, while we lounged in front of the warm fire. It was so perfect, so dream-like.

In the morning, I woke up with a stuffy nose, and sore throat. I knew immediately, that I have caught a cold. I made my way to the dining room, where the others gathered: they were already having breakfast, and drinking coffee.
- Guys, I think I'm sick... - I said, cradling my own arms.
- What? Are you kidding me? On the first day? - They were absolutely livid, which only made me feel worse about my condition. - So what now, can you come to skiing lessons?
- Ah, I don't know... I don't think I should.... - My answer was followed by annoyed groans from my members, but there was nothing we could do. After a few minutes, they calmed down, and got ready.
- There are many different teas over the kitchen counter, drink plenty, okay? And don't come out of your bed, and dress warmly, okay? We'Ll be back at 2 pm.- Yeonjun instructed me, and I nodded. He gave me a smile, and left with the others. They left their phones at home, they wanted to be offline for a bit.
I climbed back to my bed, and shut my eyes. I wanted to sleep the time away, as there was not much else to do. The books over the fireplace were in German and French, and there was barely any Internet access. We were high in the mountains after all.
I slept for around 15 minutes, when I got woken up by a gust of wind. I shot up in my bed, and went to find the source of the cold air. Turns out, a window in the kitchen was open, and it cooled the whole cabin down. I sighed in annoyance, shut the window, and went back to light a fire.
That's when I saw, that we were out of firewood.
- Awesome... - I muttered, and headed back to the room, to turn on the heating. I found the little white panel, where we could control the temberature inside. I pressed on the arrow pointing up, when I took a look at the tiny screen. It said:
OUT OF BATTERY
- Are you kidding me? - I was getting distraught now, I started thinking, that I will freeze in this place. I ran to the kitchen, to find batteries: there weren't any. I searched every drawer, every shelf for any kind of battery, but there were none. I took the batteries out of the clocks and kitchen appliances, but none fit into the heating panel.
After a few minutes of searching, it dawned on me: it was getting colder and colder, and there wasn't any way for me to heat the cabin up. I took a look at my phone: 10:20 am.
I need to wait 3 and a half hours for the others to return. I couldn't call them, I was completely alone.
I thought about going to the town near us, but the others took the car, and it was more than 2 hours on foot. I thought about calling a repairman from that town, but there was no service here either.
