~ Hoshi's POV ~
There's no denying, I have lots of energy, at all times. Sometimes it gets me into trouble, but usually, people find it charming, so I won't change myself anytime soon.
The whole day, I was overly excited, because tomorrow morning, a very important package will be delivered to me. I ordered new dance shoes, and after 3 weeks of waiting, they will be with me tomorrow.
- We're done for today, good job everyone! - I started wrapping up dance class. - Remember to bring more water tomorrow, so we don't have to go for refills every 30 minutes. Let's go home. - Everyone was tired, so we quickly packed up, and headed home.
After taking a nice, long shower, I tried my best to fall asleep. But nothing worked, I was simply too excited. Thankfully, after 2 hours, my mind tired itself out, and I fell into a deep slumber.
~
My alarm rang at 6:00 am. I usually wake up much earlier, but today was a bit different: we only had to go to classes and rehearsals in the afternoon, so we got the morning off. The timing couldn't be any better.
I checked on my phone, where my package was. It showed, that the delivery man picked it up already, and could hand it over in about an hour. I could barely contain my excitement, I had to do something with all this excess energy.
I had a great idea: I'll cook breakfast for the others. Lately, all of us skipped breakfast, and that caused some sickness. A few members almost passed out from low blood sugar, so we had to start eating in the morning again.
I checked the fridge, when I saw that we had almost nothing. A few water bottles, and an already expired yogurt cup.
- Well shit. - I muttered, disappointed. I closed the fridge, and decided to go back to my room, for a little bit more sleep. Maybe we could go out shopping today with the others after.
- HOSHI! There's a delivery man waiting for you, and I'm NOT paying for it this time! - Seungcheol's voice was heard all through the house, and woke me up instantly. It's here!
- COMING! - I yelled back, and jumped out of my bed. I got on my slippers, and ran towards the stairs.
- Slow down for the love of god, you will slip and fall. - Jihoon was on the stairs already, but got out of my way. - Careful, the package isn't going anywhere.
But I was way too excited to be careful, and basically jumped down the first couple of steps. And then I realized I had slippers on.
But it was too late.
I landed on my left foot, which slipped out under me instantly. I tried holding onto the railings, but my hands were slippery. Before I knew, I was already at the bottom of the stairwell.
But that was the last thing I remembered.
~ Jun's POV ~
When Hoshi gets excited, he becomes a madman. No one can stop him, he gets himself all worked up, and you have to wait a good 10 minutes, before you could have a normal conversation with him again.
That's what was happening these past few days: he ordered new shoes, and that's all he could talk about. But the day finally came, when he gets his precious shoes, so maybe today, he will be normal again.
- Slow down for the love of god, you will slip and fall. - Jihoon was standing on the stairs, waiting for Hoshi to pass next to him. He looked kind of annoyed, but more entertained.
The next second, Hoshi jumped down at least 4 stairs, and before I could react, he slipped.
My insticts kicked in immediately, and I ran towards the stairs to catch him. But gravity was much more faster with his body.He landed at the bottom with a nauseating thump, and he
Didn't
Get
Up.- SOONYOUNG! - Me and a few others yelled, as we all ran towards him. I grabbed his head, Cheol was checking his pulse and breathing, and Jihoon was assessing him for any cuts or bruises.
- Do we need an ambulance? - Minghao was quietly watching from the living room. He looked scared and sad.
- I don't know, he might have a concussion. But his breathing and heart rate is fine. - Cheol answered. - What do you guys think?
- I think we should. Or maybe call our managers? They would know what to do. - Jihoon was holding Hoshi's right hand, and was tearing up.
- I agree, we should call a manager. Maybe he's not that seriously hurt. - I said. - Minghao, can you do that for us?
He already had his phone in his hand, and dialed our manager. In a few minutes, he entered the door.
- What the hell happened? Why is there a delivery man waiting at the door? I paid for the package, so it's good, but still. Is he awake?
- Not yet. - Cheol answered. A second later, Hoshi let out a sigh, and slowly opened his eyes.
- Wha... where? - He mumbled. He was clearly confused. I smiled at him, and told him what happened.
- Hoshi, you manage to scare me more every single damn time! How are you feeling? - The manager tried to act angry, but we all knew he was worried as well.
- Um... not too good. - He answered after thinking long and hard. He was looking around, slowly realizing what happened.
- Thank god. Does anything hurt?
- My head, a bit. And my pride. - The pressure eased in the room, and we giggled at his remark. I patted his face, which he welcomed with a smirk. - Where's my package?
- You fell down the stairs, and that's what's important to you? I can't believe you! - Jihoon laughed. - Manager took it for you. But I don't think you should use them today.
- Ah, why? - Hoshi whined. - I wanna!
- No chance, boy. You're staying home, no practice for you today. - Our manager ordered him to rest in his bed, he was still worried about a concussion. Hoshi didn't like the news at all, but he didn't have a choice.
- I'm staying home with you, the rest of you can practice. - I volunteered to take care of him, partly because I wanted a rest day too.
Finally, when the others left, and Hoshi tried on and showed me all of his new "toys", he agreed to lay down for a bit.
Thankfully, apart from a few small bruises, he left the scene unscathed. He also got a long talk from management, about being careful, and he finally agreed, not to let his excess energy injure him.
