~ Jeongin's POV ~

Is there a better way to spend your free day than to take a long walk? I don't think so.

And Chan hyung would agree. Although he would argue, that work is more important, but he knows deep down, that I'm right: you need rest in order to stay productive.

We made a deal: he would accompany me for a long walk, then we would sit down in a café, and he could work a bit there. We were both very excited, so we didn't waste any time, got dressed, and headed out. I only brought a book, while Chan brought his laptop, phone and earphones.

The weather was delightful: the Sun was shining, but not too strong, and small gusts of wind kept the temperature low. We spent our walk talking, admiring nature, listening to music and joking around.

It was such a perfect day. Almost too good to be true.

On our way to the café, I suddenly got an eerie feeling. I tried to shake it off, but my mind and instincts kept telling me, that something was wrong. I suggested, that we should maybe go home instead, and work there, but Chan insisted, that we sit down for a coffee.

- Hey, sorry, could you help me a second? – A young man was kneeling on the pavement, collecting shards of glass from the ground. – I dropped my bottle, and I don't want anyone to step on the glass... - Of course, we slowed down, and started gathering the glass too.

Suddenly, I felt someone grabbing my shoulders, and pulled me back. My back collided with the person, when they let go of one of my shoulders. I wanted to yell for Chan, when I suddenly saw: in their other hand, a long, sharp knife.

- Get up. – He addressed Chan. He turned back, confused, when he saw my situation. He turned pale, dropped the glass shards, and put his hands above his head. – Give me your backpack.

- Let him go. – Chan whispered. – You don't have to do this.

- Do what I say, or else you can say goodbye to your friend! – The man shouted, and pressed his knife to my neck. For a second, I didn't even dare to breathe, I was sure he would cut me.

- Okay, okay. – Chan was panicking, but I couldn't pay attention to him. I closed my eyes, and silently prayed to someone or something, to let us go without injuries. – Here's the bag. Now let him go.

- Good. – The person who initially asked us for help joined my attacker. I realized, that we walked right into their trap. – No, no, no. Where is your wallet?

- I... I didn't bring it, I don't have it! – Chan pleaded, but they didn't seem to believe him.

- Give it to me, you have five seconds. You know what happens, if you don't... - The knife pressed deeper into my skin, and I felt a few drops of blood escaping. I started gasping for air, I felt like my airway was crushed.

- Seriously, I don't have it on me... - My oldest cried. I knew he was telling the truth, but the muggers didn't think so.

The man finally took the knife from my throat, allowing me to breathe for a second. Then, just as suddenly, he let out a laugh, swung the knife into my side, and pushed me away.

I dropped to the floor, holding my left side. My body felt like it was on fire, and with every drop of blood, I felt the life escaping from my grasp. I closed my eyes again, I did not want to see the pool of blood under me.

- No, no, no, Innie, stay with me... - Chan turned me to my back, placed my head on his knee, so my upper body was elevated. – Oh, god, no... fuck, don't fall asleep, okay? We need help... Help!
