~ Hyunjin's POV ~

- Hyunjinnie? Hyunjin... Time to wake up... - Someone kept calling out for me. But I don't want to wake up, the bed is too comfortable. – Come on now, we will be late...

- No, one more minute... - My throat felt so dry, that I was only able to whisper.

- Absolutely not, get up. I'll help. – They grabbed my shoulder, and sat me up. I finally opened my eyes, and I was faced with Changbin. – What's up with you, you're always up by now.

- I don't know... I have been feeling a bit under the weather for the past few days. – I slowly stood up, and waited for the vertigo to go away. – Could you get my bag please, hyung?

- For sure... You're not going to be sick, are you? – He gathered my stuff, while I changed into my training clothes.

- I really hope not. I can't afford to be sick, can I? Let's go. – And we were out of the door.

To be honest, I have been ill for almost a week now, but there's no point in telling my members that. I wouldn't be able to get rest anyway, and they would worry about me constantly. I decided, that I would keep quiet, until I couldn't.

- And that's a wrap! Good work everyone, well, almost everyone. – We were shooting scenes for our new music video, and it required us to run, climb walls and jump. It took a lot out of me, I was a mess by the end of it. – Hyunjin, get yourself together for tomorrow, okay? We don't have time to re-shoot, we're already way behind schedule...

I nodded, and followed the others to our van.

- So, Hyunjin, are you okay? – Chan turned around to face me in the car. – You still look pale, do you need water?

- I'm... uh, fine, yes. – I was out of breath and dizzy, but I needed to keep it together, at least until we get home.

- You sure? – He extended his hand, and placed it on my forehead. – Ah, do you have a fever?

- I don't think so... I'm probably still hot from... the running. – I answered while trying to catch my breath. I knew I had a fever, it's been pretty high for a few days now. But there's nothing I could do about it, except take meds.

- Yeah, maybe. When we get home, rest, okay? – It wasn't really a question, but an order. And I gladly nodded to that.

- Hey, guys, we still have some choreo to go through for tomorrow. Do you want to get up early, like 3 am early, or do you want to go to the studio now, and finish it? – Our manager asked from the front seat.

I threw my head back in disappointment, and so did the others. But ultimately, we decided to finish it tonight, so we could sleep until morning.

- Warm up quickly, then get into the positions we finished at. – Our instructor wasn't happy either, but it was his job. We did a few stretches, and got to work.

~

We practiced the last two eight-counts, we memorized it and we were ready to dance it the whole way through. I started center, all eyes were on me.

I needed to set the mood for the whole dance.

- Hyunjin, look like you're enjoying it! Everyone in the audience is looking at you before you start, show them how much you love to dance!

I forced a smile on my face, and the music started. I tried to dance energetically, like I always do, but my body was at its breaking point.

I started taking quick little breaths, and before I knew it, I was hyperventilating and dizzy. I tried to keep up with the others, but it was painfully obvious, that I couldn't.

I was not well.

At the end, I was able to hold the position for a few seconds, before I collapsed to the ground. The room was spinning around me, I was burning up, and my whole body was shaking. I was on the verge of tears, but I managed to fight them back.

- Get up, we need to start again. – Chan grabbed my hands and tried to pull me up, but I wasn't moving. – Come on, Hyunjin, don't make this harder for everyone!

I slowly gathered the strength and stood up. My legs were trembling, and I was disoriented, but I needed to dance, I couldn't make this harder for everyone.

We started again. My eyes were half-closed already when the music started, and I rapidly realized, that I hit rock-bottom. I moved with the others, well, I tried to. My body felt too heavy, the air in the room was stuffy, and I knew that I was about to faint.

- I'm sorry, I.. I can't... - I stumbled backwards, making everyone stop in their tracks. I placed my hands on my knees, hung my head, and tried to gather myself. But instead, I felt all my energy leaving me.

Before I knew it, I fell sideways, and crashed to the floor. I heard the others calling out for me, but I decided to let go.

Maybe hiding my illness wasn't that great of an idea...

~ Changbin's POV ~

I knew Hyunjin wasn't well, it was so obvious. But he pushed through, he knew the company wouldn't give him time to recover.

I stopped worrying about him for a minute, but when we started dancing for the second time, I saw him go pale as a ghost. His limps were shaking and his forehead was glistening from sweat.

Suddenly, he spoke up, and started falling backwards. I ran to catch him, but he only stumbled. He bend forward, and lowered his head. We gathered around him, but before I could touch him – he fainted.

- Oh my god, I fucking knew it... - I whispered, and kneeled next to him. His skin was burning, it was almost too painful to touch. – Get a towel and wet it, he needs cold. Quickly! – I yelled to the others, who stood in shock around the sick boy. – It's okay, Jinnie, I got you, you will be fine...

Someone handed me a cold towel, and I pressed it onto his forehead. With some help, we turned him on his back, and after a few seconds, he started coming to. His eyes were glossy and distant, I couldn't even look at him without tearing up.

- We will get you home, and you will rest, okay? – I lifted him carefully, and carried him in my arms to the car.

On the way home, I kept a close eye on him. He seemed to be going in and out of consciousness, but when I finally placed him into his bed, he opened his eyes, and looked at me.

- Where... - He couldn't finish his sentence, I didn't let him.

- Don't speak, okay, spare your energy. You're at home, and you will be for a few days, or until you get better. I'm sorry for not fighting for you, I can't imagine how sick you must've been...

- I didn't want you guys to know... - He whispered, tears flooding his eyes.

- Let it out, you can cry, you know that. I know how hard it was for you, and I'm sorry that you had to pass out in order to get rest. I will be here with you, okay?

- Promise? – He grabbed my hand.

- Promise. – I smiled at him, and watched him fall asleep. – Of course I promise...

His grip on my hand loosened, as he laid there, and in that moment I knew, that he will be just fine.

Hi, so I think I'm back...

So sorry for the long wait, I really want to apologize. This mf illness really took everything out of me, I won't go into detail, but it was scary.

I'm still not well, but I have my laptop finally, so I can write, if I can.

Stay healthy <3
