Meet By Chance

It's 24th December, Meera told me that she wanted to hangout with me. So, we are in the City Mall eating burgers.

I'm really not a hangout person. I prefer staying at home during my vacations. But she forced me to spend a day with her.

Firstly, we went to a Church, she wanted some Christmas Eve photos of hers. Then, we went to eat Golgappas. And now, we are in the Mall, roaming, wandering & eating.

It's evening now. We were walking in the streets when a question pops out in my mind out of nowhere.

"Do you know anything about.... Aryan?" I ask her.

"What should I be knowing about him?" Meera questions back.

"I mean..... any update.... about the fight and what happened. Is he like..... suspended or something?"

After the fight, he neither came to school nor tuition. And then our vacations started. I'm curious if he is suspended or something.

We got to know that, the fight was just a simple boys fight. They told each other something, used bad words & slangs. And then, Aryan got furious and started punching and fighting. Was it even a reason to react that much. That fight was horrible.

Also, I don't know why, since then, in every class, Tr. Sarika is giving me such weird looks or angry looks I presume. What have I done?

"No, I don't think so. According to my latest information, he is not suspended from school." Meera answers.

Meera is a bit friendly with everyone. She has a detective in each & every class. She gathers all the information and update it to me.

"You are worried about him?" She teases.

"No! I'm just curious." I answer. She hums in reply. "But still, why he didn't came to school last week. He is not attending tuitions too."

"Vini.... you're denying. But you do care for him." She giggles.

"No, I don't. Don't tease me like that." I pout.

"Ok.... so you are telling me that you have not yet caught feelings for him, knowing the fact that he has a crush on you." She chuckles. "You know what, he likes you..... a lot."

That's a fact but I shake my head and deny her statement.

"C'mon, don't lie to me." She says. "I've been watching you. During our last week of school before vacations, you always used to watch the school gate, whether he is coming or not. You didn't even dared to move your eyes from the gate. You waited for him everyday but unfortunately he never came. Maybe, because of the fight he had stopped coming to school."

Yeah, well that's true. Last week was much of a disappointment week. I was disappointed when he didn't show up. I use to wait for him, in school, in tuition, but he never came.

"Vini! Don't be sad." She says. "We will see him next year."

"What?!" I shockingly look at her. What is she saying?!

She chuckles. "Next year, I mean, this year is going to end in 1 week. Ofcourse you will get to see him next year in school."

"Oh correct!" I nod agreeing the fact. Her words literally scared me for a minute.

"Hey, look there." She points at a bakery shop across the road. "Let's buy a christmas cake from there."

I read the name of the bakery, it says, "Cakes & Cookies"
