Chapter 18

Stay Away From Her

I'm in the Principal Office. Me and Ayush were the main lead in this fight. So, we both are the only one hearing scolding from our Principal. Other boys were scolded by the teachers.

It's not the first time I've involved myself in a fight. I've done it number of times. But this time it was way too personal which made me this angrier. 

I was standing in the playground with my group. We were just talking normally. Few boys from the Science section were standing few steps away from us. When I heard them speaking.....

"Ya..... these commerce students are useless. They are failures. These commerce students don't know anything. There's no scope in commerce. I don't know why this subject is even there in our school. It's of no use." One boy said.

"Exactly, these commerce students just fight and create nuisance. Our school shouldn't have given admission to these kind of students. They don't have any future." Another boy said. 

I don't blame them, this is mindset of the society. That, all the failure students are found in Commerce only. There is no scope in it. They don't have a future ahead. 

They were commenting bad about us and about our stream until Ayush commented about her.

"But, I seriously don't know what's wrong with Vinisha. She is the topper of our school and she opted for this useless stream. She's an idiot. She could have taken science instead of commerce. She don't have this much sense. She buried our school's respect. Stupid girl!" He said and started laughing, on her. 

And the next minute he got a hard punch on his face, from me. I grabbed his collar and told him that, who is he to comment bad about our stream, about us, about Vinisha.

He grabbed my collar too. He repeated the same things he told before. He even used more bad words for Vinisha which angered me more. I started thrashing him. His boys came to hit me. But I thrashed them all. My boys entered too, to help me with this fight. We all were fighting like rowdy hooligans.

I was punching Ayush and was warning him to never ever say anything bad about Vinisha. But then teachers came to stop our fight. One Sir grabbed my forearm and started pulling me towards the principal office.

And then, I saw her.

She was looking at me with concern. I was looking at her with embarrassment.

I'm not at all guilty about this fight. I know I didn't do anything wrong. Ayush deserved my punches. He shouldn't have said anything about My Girl.

I was only embarrassed because she saw me like this. She hate fights. And I was the centre attraction of this fight. She saw my aggressive side. She saw me hitting boys so badly. She will hate me now. She will not talk to me. Shit!

Meri Gaddi chalne se pehle hi rukk gayi!

When Principal asked me why I started fighting. I told him that Ayush was commenting bad about us and our stream. I don't want to mention Vinisha's name. Otherwise she'll also face troubles. And I don't want that to happen.

"Oh! I didn't knew that you were so concerned about your stream." Principal taunts me.

I reply nothing and started looking here & there.

He sighs and says. "Look, Aryan, you are the pride of our basketball team. You are the best sportsperson our school have ever got. But the way you behave in the school..... I can't tolerate that. This fight was so horrible." He shakes his head in disbelief.
