Finally it's 12 in the midnight and the date today is 7th May.

I quickly press the button of send and the message which I already typed for Aryan in WhatsApp is received by him but not seen.

I wonder if he is awake.

So that he could see the message I wrote for him.

I wanted to be the first person to wish him that's why I waited till midnight.

He is online but the message is not yet seen by him. I lay my head on my pillow and just stare at the message for minutes.

Still not seen.

I waited till 1'o clock but still not seen. Maybe he is busy partying in some pub with his friends. That's why he has not seen my message yet.

I don't know when I fell asleep while waiting for his reply.

My eyes open when I hear my phone ringing. I glance at my wall clock. It was 4:30 am.

I try to find my phone beneath the sheets. Once found, I see 8 missed calls from Aryan and messages sent by him at around 4:10 am.

I'm so sorry I didn't reply fast. Actually I did cake cutting with my parents at 12'o clock.

I laugh while reading his message and immediately send his a text.

Me: okay I'm awake now.

His reply comes within a second.

Me: it's okay🙂 you were with parents.

Aryan: yeah we do this every year. And I really don't check my phone on my birthday midnight. I get hundreds of wishes on Instagram from girls.😅
