Merry Christmas
ARYAN

Few Minutes Ago.....

I'm at my elder sister's bakery. She opened it a few days ago. I was bored at home so I decided to help her at her bakery. Honestly speaking, I wanted to distract myself from my thoughts.

Last week, I didn't went to school or tuition, not daring to face Vinisha. She must be hating me because of that fight I did. Also, I need to maintain distance from her. I don't want her to be in any kind of trouble because of me.

I was standing beside my sister who was sitting in the cash counter. I was just thinking about all this, when two customers entered our bakery. I took a step to greet them but then stopped.

Cookie!

It's Vinisha and Meera. They are in our bakery.

Fuck! What are they doing here? Wait. What a fool I am, they must be here for cake. It's Christmas. Logic Man!

They didn't noticed me. Both were busy admiring the decoration of the bakery. And then, they moved their gaze toward the cakes.

Vinisha was in a pink hoodie. Why do she needs to wear pink always? Every time she wears pink I melt like an ice. Underneath she was wearing blue jeans and white sneakers. Her hair was open and she was looking extremely cute.

Vinisha's Outfit

Merry Christmas To Me!!

I walked towards her and stood beside her. "Yes Ma'am, which one?"

Ma'am seriously? Why did I said that? I think I'm tired by saying Sir & Ma'am to every customer since morning.

Both of them didn't answer me. I thought they would recognize my voice but they didn't.

Meera chose one cake for herself and Vinisha asked me the price. "How much for this one?"

"That's for ₹500." I answer.

She didn't even looked at me. She chose one for herself and asked me the price. "How much for this one?" Still not looking at me. Is cake more important than me?

"That'll be ₹400." I answer with much irritation.

She whispered something to Meera and then said. "We'll take these two." Still not looking at me. What the fuck Cookie? I'm hurt. You didn't even recognized my voice.

"The black forest and the chocolate chip cake." I order to Manav, our employee.

I was disappointed. I bowed my head down, took backsteps and stood near the counter.

Both were looking at Manav while he was packing their cakes. They both were whispering something to each other. I don't care to know. I started talking to my sister.

While Manav was giving the cakes to Vinisha, Meera looked at me. I too, looked at her and we both shared a smile. Now, I expect the same from Vinisha too. She passed the bags to Meera. It was paying time now.

She started coming towards the counter to pay the money. She was looking down at her sling bag, probably searching for money. She took out two notes of ₹500 and gave it to me. I was looking at her but she was looking down at the money. Did she noticed me? Or she is avoiding me knowingly? Or did she really didn't noticed me?

I gave the money to my sister. She took out a ₹100 rupee note and gave it to me. I gave the money back to Vinisha. She was still looking down.

"Thank you Ma'am." I said purposely, what if she recognizes me now and looks up at me. But no, she didn't, she just nodded her head and took the money from me.

And the next minute, both the girls left.

I'm angry.

I'm hurt.

I'm disappointed.

I'm depressed.

I'm fucked up!
