Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!

I got rejected.

Christ University. They rejected me.

I again look down at my phone screen, showing my results. There I again see, 'REJECTED' written in red.

I did try my best I swear.

I got some 60% in the entrance test of their university. And I do accept that my online micro presentation and interview went terrible. But it doesn't mean they will reject me.

Can't they give me a chance?

I tried my best. I did everything to get admission in their university. I studied hard, prepared myself well but then also.

I switch off my phone and throw it on my bed.

I palm my head with both my hands and look down at the floor.

"Fuck!" I mutter. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" I curse aloud.

This can't happen. I can't accept this. I want to be with Vini. I want to be where she will study.

We both promised each other that we will be together in college, in future. We will make our career together in Bangalore.

"Shit! I ruined it all." I mutter and close my eyes. "I should have tried harder. I should have done more hard work. But... fuck man!"

I curse aloud and kick a chair which falls down on the floor with a loud thud.

My jaw twitches in rage. I groan and sit down on the floor, against the bed.

"Fuck!" I mutter and cover my face with my palms. I breath heavily and uncover my face, then stare down at the floor.

That's when my phone starts ringing. I slowly turn and aggressively pick my phone. 

But then, my gaze softens when I see Vini's name flashing on screen.

How will I tell her about this?

I gulp and take a deep breath before picking up her call.

"Hello!"

"Aryan!" She screams in joy. "Did you see the results? I'm selected. I got selected in Christ University. OMG! I can't believe it. It's like my dream came true."

I smile softly hearing the excitement in her voice.

"I'm so happy, Bunny." She chuckles. "Did you check your results? See it quickly. I can't wait for our new beginnings, Aryan."

I press my lips together and look down.

Tears fill up my eyes as I realize that I have ruined her happiness. I couldn't complete her wish for us to be together. Just because I didn't give my best and studied hard.

"Aryan?" She calls. "What happen? Why are you so quiet?"

"Vini..." I sniff and wipe my eyes. "I...I checked my results."

"And you are selected. Right?" She asks with hope.

My lips tug down and I sniff as a tear falls down my eye. "I'm sorry, Vini." I whisper.

Tears go on falling from my eyes while she became silent after hearing me.

"I'm so sorry." I whisper again in my broken voice.
