My 17th Birthday

Today is my Birthday!!! This 17th March I turned 17. I've been receiving lots & lots of birthday wishes since morning. My final exams went awesome and day after tomorrow is my result day.

So, my plan for today is..... nothing. I'm excited but I'm bored too. I guess I'll spend my whole day by reading Wattpad. My Mumma has planned a special dinner for tonight. It will be just me, my mumma and my papa.

I really don't like birthday parties. I use to celebrate it when I was a child because of my greed for gifts. But now, I don't have any interest in celebrating my birthday.

My mumma gifted me two dresses and my papa gifted me a laptop. When Meera called me this morning, I asked her if she could also join us for dinner tonight. But she said that she already have dinner plans with her relatives.

I am so happy and I appreciate everyone who have wished me on my special day. But, since morning I've been waiting for that one person who will call me and wish me.

Aryan

I'm waiting for his one call or even one text. Did he not know that today is my birthday?

Shit!

My disappointment immediately vanished when my mobile phone rang and Aryan's name popped up.

"Hello!" I said while trying to hide my excitement.

"Happy Birthday Vini!" He wished cheerily.

"Thank You!" I'm blushing so hard right now.

"I'm so sorry for calling you late. Actually I was busy doing something, that's why." He explained.

"It's fine."

"So, what are your plans for today?" He asks.

"Nothing. My Mumma is preparing a special dinner for tonight. That's it." I answer.

"So, you are free this afternoon?"

"Yup!" I'm curious. Why is he asking me this?

"Ok... so can you come to my bakery?"

"Aa... but why?"

"Mmm.... have you ordered your birthday cake?"

"No.... my papa will bring one with himself tonight."

"Can't you just order one from my bakery?"

"Yaa.... ah... can I?

"Ofcourse. You can come to my bakery this afternoon."

"Mm.... Okay."

"Okay.... I'll be waiting for you."

Okay I'm going to Aryan's bakery, I have to dress up nicely. No.... wait, I think I should go in casual clothes. Just a simple top and jeans will work? Or should I wear something more extraordinary?

Wait! It's not like I'm going to impress him. Or am I going to impress him? But also today's my birthday.

Okay.... I've decided. I'm going to wear the top & jeans that my mumma has gifted me.

It's a burgundy color off-shoulder top and a dark blue color loose jeans. I wore a pair of sneakers and did an open- haired hairstyle.
