Chapter 17 The Mystery On Chopper Base

It's been a few days since Chopper helped that AP-5 and were now on course for the planet that the two droids found "Ghost to Phoenix home, we're heading down with another load." Hera said over the comm while Ezra Kanan were cargo hold sparing and Sabine was watching this gave the hunter sense that he had to win. The hunter stayed away from the Jedi norm of saber stances and instead went with his stances it was a mixture of several swords styles from earth mostly kenjutsu but he also used several Old world H.E.M.A stances and a fencing stance for sparring.

The hunter thrusted the saber missing the Jedi before immediately going into a defensive stance bouncing the Jedi Knights blade against it a masterful parry which he used to try and thrust he got force pushed back into the wall. The hunter scrambled to his feet gambler's dodging a swipe far enough to begin firing Sabine's pistol which she leant him for a favor, the hunter fired four times and the Jedi blocked them all "you'll have to do better then that." Kanan said as the hunter scoffed "puhlease I'm only using my fencing stance right now." The hunter said with a smirk on his face as they stood off both waited for the other to make a move before the hunter put a plan together he smirked moving forward sliding towards the Jedi who jumped over before Ezra used the door to flip over the Jedi with Kanan swung towards it expecting the hunter to be there and man in question held his blade towards the neck of the Jedi "checkmate." The hunter said with a smirk "think again I got you." Kanan said Ezra made a tsking noise "I suggest you look down." Ezra said, the Jedi did just that seeing quickfang ready to push his blade away "hmm guess it is your win." Kanan said "hmm we're tied again 3 to 3." The hunter said annoyed "there's no such thing as a tie. You win or you die." Kanan said making Ezra confused "on earth there is trust me I've been in a few tied crucible matches. Also once again immortal." Ezra explained with a bored expression as he pointed to himself "you two are getting pretty good." Sabine said with a smirk making the hunter put on a face as he turned "getting? Are you trying to saying something Ms. Mandalorian?" The hunter said with a smirk on his face the Mando chuckled "but of course Lothrat." She said crossing her arms making the hunter laugh a little as the Jedi activated his saber swinging at the hunter who used quickfang to block while looking over his shoulder before pushing it aside and shifting his body so he was facing the Jedi sabers still locked "never turn your back on an enemy. You need to keep serious." Kanan said making the hunter raise a brow "when have I never been serious?" The hunter asked causing the crew in the hold to laugh.

The hunter sat against the crates Sabine sat next to him hand on his "the site doesn't look like much, I'll admit. The good news is our scouts found a fresh water source, deep underground." Rex said making Sabine look up "we're placing sensor markers around the perimeter. We'll know if anyone drops by unannounced." Sabine explained as a snail creature chirped above them "hey! Get away from that." Zeb said moving his arms up in a threatening manner scaring the snail off "how I hate those little Bogens." He continued shaking his head "this planet may be hot, dry and unpleasant. But at least there's nothing trying to kill us." Rex said making the hunter scoff and Sam pop out "that's probably what the first Australians on earth thought about the Country before they realized how dangerous the place was." She said a roll of her optic.

Ezra was working with Rex on one of the consoles as Sabine entered she chatted to Rex who moved over to the hunter and the radio he was near "Phoenix-6, report. Deiser, do you copy?" Rex asked only to get radio static the hunter turned "she was on the north face. We'd better go check on her." Sabine said as Hera and Kanan stepped forward "take the Phantom." Hera said the hunter turned "I'm going with it's most likely dangerous." The hunter putting on the Merdian helmet and his weapons transmated to him Last Word on his hip Long Arm and quickfang on his back before Sabine, Rex, and Ezra made their way to The Phantom taking off to the location.
