Y/N POV
~~~~~~~~
I let out a yawn as I walked down the stairs. I froze as I saw Ink, Dream, and Blue whispering to each other secretly. I felt like eavesdropping, but I knew that would be rude, so I just cleared my throat. "Hi, guys!"
Dream let out a yelp and stumbled backwards. "Wh- How long were you there for?!"
"Like two seconds." I giggled.
He sighed with relief. "Um- Ink and I are going out, so it's just gonna be you and Blue, ok?"
Blue's been staying behind a lot recently. I thought. "Alrighty. Have fun!"
Ink and Dream waved before teleporting off. Blue looked at me oddly for a moment before speaking. "Want some breakfast?"
"Sure." I nodded.
"Great!" He smiled hugely. "Wanna help me make it?"
I nodded again and he led me into the kitchen. "What're we making?"
He narrowed his eyes. "Pancakes."
"Alright."
~~~~~~~~
"Tastes good." I said, my voice muffled as I took a bite of the pancakes Blue and I had made.
"Mhm!" He nodded enthusiastically.
Blue seems off. I thought, holding back a frown. I know he's normally enthusiastic, but... He's not normally this enthusiastic. I wonder if he's hiding something.
"Blue?" I said, looking up at him. "Are you doing ok?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" He tilted his head at me.
"You seem off. You seem like you're hiding something."
"...Why would I hide something from you?"
"I dunno." I shrugged. "But... You can tell me if there's something wrong, you know."
"Nothing's wrong." He said firmly. "I guess I'm just... Worried about Dust...?"
"So am I."
He sighed. "It must be hard for you, not knowing what's going on with him."
"It is hard." I admitted. "But I have to believe that he's ok. I'm sure he's fine."
"...Yeah. Me too."
"Anyway." I finished my pancakes. "What do you wanna do now?"
He blinked. "Um." He glanced at the door, then at me. "Maybe we could train a little bit?"
"Sure." I smiled and took his plate and mine to the sink. "Let me get ready."
"Ok!" He seemed back to normal now. "I'll wait for you outside!" He bolted out the door as I walked up the stairs.
Maybe I could ask Dream if he could see how Dust is doing. I thought as I brushed my hair. No... Too dangerous. I let out a whine and rested my head against the wall. Oh, Dust, I miss you.
I walked into Dust's room and turned on the light. I walked over to his dresser and opened one of the drawers. I pulled out one of his hoodies and slipped it on before walking back out and down the stairs.
"Hello! Are you-" Blue stopped as he saw me.
"What?" I tilted my head at him as a breeze flowed through the clearing, chilling me to the bone.
"You're wearing Dust's hoodie." He observed.
"Heh, yeah." I looked down at it. It was a little too big and the sleeves were a bit long. "It feels comfortable."
