Chapter 38. ~Crazed.~

1st Person POV

I walked down the dreary hallways, hands shaking intensely. My knees were wobbly, and I had to summon a bone in my hands to stop myself from tearing myself apart. My breathing was ragged, and I could hardly focus on what was around me. Only the fact that today was the day.

I spotted my boss and the rest of my group in the dining room. I inhaled sharply.

"Are you ready?" My boss asked me, pulling me close to him with a goopy tendril.

I nodded. "R-Ready, boss."

He smirked. "Good." He turned to the others. "Go."

They nodded and teleported off.

My boss looked at me again. "Come sit. I wish to discuss something with you before you go."

"Y-yeah boss?" My voice shook with madness, and I gripped the bone tighter.

"I know you struggle with keeping your temper and insanity level." He said. "I tell you not to kill because I know it will only make things worse for you."

"...B-But-"

"I'm not done." He ran a tendril under my chin. "I'm allowing this, because you've had your eye on her since the beginning. But please. Do not go overboard. I want only her gone. Nobody else. Understand?"

"G-Got it, b-b-boss."

"Good." He stood up and so did I. He pulled me into a six limbed hug. "Now go. And remember. Only her."

I nodded and teleported away.

Y/N POV

"Ahem."

Dust pulled away from our heated makeout session as Nightmare cleared his throat.

"If you wouldn't mind, could you take... This... Somewhere else?" He flicked his tendrils irritably.

"And if I don't?" Dust retorted.

"Then I will personally pick both of you up and dump you in a freezing lake back in your AU."

Dust rolled his eyes. "Fine. Whatever, dad."

Nightmare disappeared and Dust looked at me.

"C'mon. Let's go back to our room." He gave me a quick kiss and teleported us back to our room.

I took a bite out of a bagel. The others had left again, leaving just Nightmare and I once more.

Nightmare stood up. "I'm going to my AU, and I'm not very comfortable with leaving you here alone. Would you like to come, Y/N?"

"Sure." I grabbed a second bagel, and he teleported us away.

Nightmare sat beside the large stump of the Tree of Feelings with a sigh. He rested his hand on it for a moment, looking like he had forgotten I was there.

He flicked a tendril at me. "I need a minute alone. Feel free to explore the villages nearby."

"Alrighty." I turned and bounded down the hill towards a nearby village.

It was quite a cute village. Townsfolk walked the streets, occasionally turning to me with a wave.

"You don't look like you're from around here." A short, fluffy bunny monster walked up to me, holding a basket of apples. "Where're you from?"
