Chapter 31

"How long have we been in the bathroom?  I don't WIKE it in here!"  Jackie whined.  Alyssa glanced at her watch.  "Wow, it's been a half hour!"  "Let's get outta here!" she yelled.  "We can't go yet, they might still be looking for us."  Rachel said.  Just then, an announcement came over the loudspeakers like what the heck why do they have those in the White House?  But anyway, there was an announcement saying that Obama called off the search because he forgot who/what he was searching for.  Also, he had to finish playing dress-up with Joe.  Yay!  They had defeated the the United States government!  They could escape and go home now!  "High fives all around!  Job well done, gang!"  Foamy cheered.  Everyone slapped high fives with each other happily.  "OW!"  Jimmy screamed as someone gave him a high five.  The bullet that was in his hand flew out and landed in Foamy's eye.  "OW!"  Foamy screamed.  Everyone ran around in circles and no one knew what to do, until Maggie reminded everyone that there was a private hospital in the heart of the White House that no one knew about 'cause it's a secret.  They took Foamy there and the surgeons took the bullet out of Foamy's eye.  A nurse gave her some zucchini-flavored eyedrops and then she was good to go.  Foamy was walking out of her room when she saw her friends staring across the hall.  She followed their gazes to someone walking out of another room, pushing someone in a wheelchair.  BROBERG!  And Charlie!  Charlie was in the wheelchair, with both of his feet wrapped in bandages.  Broberg saw the five friends staring at him and he angrily pushed the wheelchair forward, making it tumble over.  Charlie screamed, but Broberg ignored him.  A nurse went and helped Charlie back up as Broberg charged towards the five friends.  Foamy ran quickly to join her friends and chucked zucchini at Broberg, but missing him by like 3,000 miles because her vision was kinda messed up.  Charlie saw Broberg charging straight at Jackie and he wheeled over to stop him.  "Broberg, stop!"  Broberg stared at Charlie, his eyes widening.  "Charlie, I thought you worked for me!"  "I did, but then I realized that everything I've ever wanted is right here."  Charlie hugged Jackie and Jackie flinched because she was surprised, but then she hugged Charlie back.  "Awwww!"  Everyone said, even Broberg.  But then he realized that he was on his own!  And Charlie might say something about him being the real John Broberg!  He couldn't let that happen!  Broberg took out his gun and aimed it at Charlie.  He fired.  "Charlie, watch out!"  Jackie screamed, but it was too late.  Charlie was struck by the bullet, right in the tummy.  Jackie gasped and covered her mouth.  "At least we're in a hospital!"  Alyssa said as a surgeon appeared and took Charlie into surgery.  Foamy sighed.  "There's always drama in hospital waiting rooms..."  she said as she recalled many past episodes of Days of Our Lives.  After a few hours, Foamy realized that she was still clutching the Book of Secrets tightly.  "Oh yeah, guys!  Look what Jimmy and I found in the secret dungeon!"  Maggie took the book from Foamy.  "Holy crap, this is the Book of Secrets!  Haha, the pages are written on kindergarten paper!"  she giggled as she handed the book to Alyssa.  "Oh my gosh, I didn't think this actually existed!"  Alyssa paged through the book before passing it to Rachel.  "Woah!  This is so cool!"  Rachel took a look in the book before handing it to Jackie.  Suddenly, the Reading Rainbow people appeared and started singing the theme song.  "Take a look, it's in a book!  READING RAINBOOOOW!  Iiiiiiii can go anywhere!!!"  Everyone in the waiting room started singing along.  ""This is so hilarious."  Jackie said with a completely straight face, but she was cracking up on the inside.  She was too worried about Charlie to crack up on the outside.  Then, a nurse came out and gave an update on Charlie's condition.  They could go in and visit him.  Everyone was walking to his room when the nurse noticed that blood was dripping from somewhere and it was getting all over the brand new carpet!  She followed the trail of blood and realized that it was coming from Jimmy's hand.  It must have started bleeding when the bullet flew out.  "HEY, STOP GETTING BLOOD ALL OVER THIS BRAND NEW CARPET!"  Foamy ran to Jimmy's side.  "STOP YELLING AT MY HUSBAND!  And you sound just like my mom, by the way.  We just got new carpet and my dog puked on it and she FREAKED OUT but yeah anyway quit yelling at him, it's not his fault that he GOT SHOT BY SOME IDIOT NAMED TIM OR WHATSHISFACE yeah whatever I don't care but please take care of his hand!"  The nurse looked scared by Foamy's outburst and started cleaning Jimmy's wound.  Then she put a bandage on it.  Foamy thanked her and she my pleasured Foamy and went to go scrub that carpet!  Jimmy and Foamy joined their friends in Charlie's room.
