Rengoku Kyojuro | Burning Passion

You awaken on the ground to be conscious again, struggling to get up. The reason you were unconscious was by a 12 Kizuki, you were previously fighting.

I blacked out. Where's the demon? You force your body to move a bit, even though your body is screaming for you to rest.

You suddenly drop your sword infront of you, holding yourself into a little ball. This fatigue is going to kill me anytime soon..! Gasping for air, in the corner of your eye you spot a flash of red and orange. Was that.. fire? You grumble under your breath, struggling to get up once again. C'mon, get up!

Footsteps approached your way as you layed there, closing your eyes. I'll just accept my fate, then. You felt a slight force that someone was over you. Opening one of your eyes, you find a bright yellow and red haired guy standing above you with a big smile.

Feeling the need that your body has to move, you moved in a blink of an eye, making a high pitched sound of shock. You observed him from afar, noticing the sword and haori. "Wait, aren't you a Hashira?" You questioned, still keeping your distance.

"Why yes! How observant of you!" The man chuckled, lifting his head up a little. You stared at him for a moment in curiosity and confusion. Such a loud guy...

"Wait! Where's the demon?" You realize, looking around your area before setting your eyes on him. "The demon is beheaded!" The pillar gave a nod, walking up to you. "What's your name?" He asked as you hesitated a bit.

"Y/N L/N. But please, call me Y/N." You introduced yourself quickly, your body relaxing bit since the demon is dead.

"Aha! Hello, Y/N! I'm Kyojuro Rengoku! Pleasure to meet you!" Rengoku held out his hand as you looked at it before realizing. "Oh! Right. Nice to meet you too, Rengoku." You shook his hand, giving a smile towards him as well.

Such warm hands. You hold your breath a bit, gazing into his eyes, observing him once more, but closely. You exhale, almost forgetting how to breathe. "Y/N?" Rengoku waved his other hand infront of your face with a head tilt.

"Hm? Oh! Ehe, sorry.." You said in a panic, waving your free hand in front of your face, looking away with a visible blush. "No worries! This area is free of demons and slayers, we should leave..!" Rengoku looked ahead of you as you stared at his hair and the color.

"Woah, cool hair..." You complimented, touching some strands for a moment.
"Thank you!" Rengoku chuckled under his breath, helping you get up on your feet. "How did you get it? Is it natural or did you dye it?" You question as you walk with Rengoku, back to the mansion.

You were always a chatter box when it came to new people. You not really a skilled fighter yet, but you enjoy people's company. It's really easy to befriend others as well, for you.

You both arrive at the Butterfly Mansion, letting Rengoku go due to the report he has to give. You stare at him from afar, clenching your chest a bit. This heavy feeling. What even is it..?

Days went by after spending time with Rengoku. You learned some new things about him; He has a younger brother, He had trained the love pillar, He loves food.

You've been holding this heavy feeling deep down in your heart for weeks. You sit beside Rengoku as you both watched the bright sun slowly set underneath the fluffy clouds. "Getting cold out here, hm?" You looked up at Rengoku, stuffing your face into a part of his uniform for warmth.

You heard a small laugh come out from Rengoku. He took his haori off, putting it around your body. You lifted your head with a smile on your face. "What about you? You're not cold?" You question. Rengoku shook his head. "Nope! Looks like you need it more than me." Rengoku patted you on the head with a smile.

"Hey, um, Rengoku? I want to.. say something." You mutter, looking around for a moment. Rengoku gave a quick nod. "Yes, go ahead." You took a deep breath before speaking. "Remember the time we met?" You question.

"Aha! Yes!" Rengoku answered with a bit of pride. A small chuckle escaped your mouth. "Good." You paused, taking another breath. "Well, ever since then.. I've been growing attached to you, and all I want to say is.." You rest your head on Rengoku's arm, eyeing him. "I love you." You said in a soft tone, nuzzling his arm.

"I see! Well, I love you too, Y/N!" Rengoku said in a loud, confident tone, puller you closer towards him for a forehead kiss. You grasp his haori, pulling it up to your face. Such a warm body. He's cuddle monster! You wrap the haori around his body a bit before giving him a tight hug.

"I'm glad I met you."

"Same here!"
