What is with all these Obanai requests- 😭
~*~ You spot Obanai in his tree he spends most of his alone time in. You lean against the tree, lifting your head up. "Obanai! Obi..!" You called his name several times, eventually getting his attention.
Obanai glanced at the ground, spotting you. He let out a soft exhale, slowly and carefully climbing down the tree. His feet met the ground as he walked towards you, putting on hand on his side.
"I haven't seen you in forever!" You exaggerate, hugging his arm. Obanai blinked. "It's.. only been a day." He responded, pausing at your sudden hug. "That day felt like a decade!" You grumbled.
Suddenly, your attention was grabbed by Obanai's snake. You paused, backing away a bit to look at him from afar. Obanai's face shifted to a confused expression. "What?" He cleared his throat. You let out a small gasp. "Is that a snake? It's so adorable! What's its name? Can I pet it??" You asked in a rush. "Right. This is your first time seeing Karabumaru." Obanai gave a slight nod.
"Karabu-what?" You gaze upon the white scaled snake, tapping his nose. Karabumaru gave a small headbutt to your finger with his faded pink nose. "Karabumaru." Obanai repeated as you immediately started to stroke Karabumaru.
Obanai had Karabumaru for a long time, just wasn't ready yet to show him to other people or just the world in general. He was one tough snake, though. At this point, Obanai started to pretty much worry if you were going to love Karabumaru over him. Obanai moved his snake over to the other side.
"So, um." He cleared his throat, tucking his hands in his sleeves, trying to act like pockets. "What did you need?" Obanai asked. "Oh, right! Since you're in trees so much, teach me how to climb one!" You said a bit demandingly.
Obanai hesitated a bit, sighing a bit loudly. He was a bit tired of doing practically nothing. Obanai eventually opened his mouth. "Mmmkay." He responded slowly, giving a shrug to one of his shoulders.
"Yay! Thanks, Obiii.." You tap his nose, trying to find the perfect tree to climb on. Obanai tried to pull his bandaged mask up to his nose, which was a fail. He slowly walked over to where you were. "Please stop calling me that.." Obanai muttered, hiding his nose over his hand as a small blush escaped through his hand.
"Mmmm, why not?" You grinned, patting the tree bark. "Hey, look! You're blushing! Isn't that cute?" You slightly teased as Obanai stammered over his words, shaking his head. You gave a shrug, dismissing the topic for now. "This looks strong enough!" You kick the tree a bit, testing its strength.
"Now c'mon! Teach me!" You shook Obanai side to side as he gave several nods. You let go of his body, watching him demonstrate first.
You two young love birds were practically inseparable. You were more of a clingy type anyway, compared to Obanai. The years slowly went past as you two grew up with each other. Everything seemed to be going pretty fine, until Obanai spoke.
