DON'T AGREE WITH ME! Ch.40

Chrollo was able to get out of the ice, but not before it was to late. He needed to find them again. There was no doubt they were powerful, but how powerful. He hadn't seen them even break a sweat! It looked like this was child's play for them. Not to mention their nen. It looked like they each had many different nen abilities and affinities, all of the same caliber which shouldn't be possible. He couldn't tell which type either of them had. There was also the fact that they were elemental which means they have to have a resistance to it, so what did those two really go through to get that strong? Whatever it was it had to have been unbearable.

Katsuki let out a loud sigh "What's your problem now?" "It's just that the fight was really boring." "You're the one who wanted to fight them." "Yeah, *sigh* I'm just bummed we didn't have time to fight mr boss man. I just hope he doesn't disappoint like his pathetic lackeys" "They were strong y'know, not pathetic ... It just so happens that we were stronger" Shoto said with a shrug, only to wince when he received a playful, painful but playful, punch to the arm. "That sounded just a little bit cocky. Don't you think icyhot?" "Maybe just a little, but it is~ true. Isn't it?" "So true." "Now who's being cocky?" "Aren't I always~?" "Yeah, you're right." "Hey!" "What" "You were NOT! Supposed to agree with me!!" "But I do agree with you?" Shoto said with faux innocence. "You little-" Katsuki jumped on Shoto's back and put him in a headlock. Not really choking him, just tossing his head around a bit. Shoto didn't fight it, he just wrapped his arms around Katsuki's legs and continued walking. Katsuki relaxed into his back "Don't forget we have to pick up dinner." "Of course I didn't." He walked up to one of the stalls they frequent and got their ingredients for dinner.

Gon, Killua, and Kurapika were inside Shoto and Katsuki's apartment waiting for them to get back. Gon and Killua were playing some game on the carpet while Kurapika was on the couch reading. Kurapika was starting to get worried, he'd been told by the boys that Shoto and Katsuki would be back after finishing up some business, but they were cutting it close. He worried about them. Sure, he knows they can take care of themselves, but he's two years older then them. Since they're friends he feels a sort of responsibility to make sure they're ok. Just as he was finishing that thought, a wave of relief made its way over him. Standing the door was Shoto carrying groceries and very tired looking Katsuki. Shoto shut and locked the door before making his way into the kitchen and setting down the groceries. "C'mon Kat, you still have to make dinner." He gave him a little jostle to try and encourage Katsuki to untangle from him body. "nmmm~" Kat whined in response. "Well I guess I'll just have to cook then." At that statement Katsuki let out a sound of disagreement before slowly letting his feet touch the floor. He groggily got all his ingredients and utensils together before he began preparing the food. Shoto stayed to keep a close eye on him, not wanting him to mess up and hurt himself.

Dinner had taken around 25 minutes to prepare, but that wasn't bad compared to some of the dishes Katsuki had cooked before. "Yummm!!" Gon and Killua yelled, mouths full, quickly scarfing down the delicious food. Even Kurapika was eating at a quicker pace. Shoto was eating a tad faster then he normally did, but that's mostly because he could see that Katsuki was about the pass out in his food. He hadn't been on a good sleep schedule while trying to finish his inventions, and when paired with that fact that he'd just fought almost every troupe member, his fatigue made sense.

Eventually Shoto saw Katsuki just staring at his food but not moving to get any, despite the want for it in his eyes. Shoto put down his own spoon and grabbed Katsuki's from his hand, and began to feed him. The fast you finish eating the faster we can change and get into bed. Katsuki just nodded. By now the boys had finished their food and gone off to play. Kurapika was also done, but waited at the table, hoping to talk to Shoto after he dealt with Katsuki. He watched Shoto pick Katsuki up like a toddle and carry him into the back room, re-emerging a couple of minutes later. He took a silent seat at the table. "So what business did you have to take care of that left him so tired?" Kurapika asked, his curiosity and overprotectiveness getting the better of him. "He was challenged, and had been itching for a fight, so he accepted." "And who was his challenger?" "Just a couple people from the phantom troupe." Shoto had said it so casually. Did he not know who the phantom troupe was? Even Kurapika himself couldn't take on more then one member at a time right now. So how did Katsuki take on multiple? "You really fought the phantom troupe?!" "Yes, but it ended up not being as exciting as he'd hoped, he bummed himself out, and stopped running, letting his lack of sleep and physical exhaustion catch up to him." "I see. Who did he fight?" "He fought everyone but Chrollo and Hisoka on his own. I helped with Hisoka, but if we were going to make it back in time for dinner, we couldn't fight Chrollo. Maybe next time." 

Next time?! Were those two crazy? Did they have a screw loose? He was ready to die fighting the phantom troupe, but those two, surely they wouldn't be pk with dying, so why were they picking a fight with the troupe? He was brought out of his thoughts by Shoto. "Well-" He said with a stretch "I'm going to head to bed. The boys already know the spare room they can stay in. You can be with them or sleep on the couch bed. Whichever you prefer. Good night." "Yeah goodnight." Kurapika watched Shoto disappear into the back room once again. Shoto really was tired so he just took his shorts and shirt off, not bothering to go put on pjs, and slid into bed, cuddling with Katsuki as he fell asleep.
