It was days after what happened at the Hospital. I remember seeing Thomas coming out of that building. He looked like his world fell.

Beth and him became really close once we were at the prison. Losing her, I think it even brought back memories about Sophia.

Tyreese, Noah, Rick, and Michonne went to go help Noah find his home. Also to find a place for us to camp for awhile.

We all stayed back, and waited for them to get back.

Hey. I heard Quinn say.

Hey newbie. I said.

Are you ever gonna not call me that? Quinn asked.

Properly not. I said.

Quinn that sat next to me as we looked at Thomas.

I tried talking to him. He hasn't said anything since the hospital. Quinn said.

Beth's death really took a hit on him. Same thing with Daryl and Maggie. I think we need to give them their space. I said.

What if that's not what he wants. I mean I have seen Payton talking to him and Daryl nonstop, making sure their alright. I mean Daryl has said a few things to her, but Thomas has said nothing. Quinn said.

Alright I'll talk to him. I said as I went up to Thomas and sat down with him.

As I sat down with my brother, I realized that his eyes were really red and puffy. I knew he wasn't sleeping that much anymore. nor was he eating.

Thomas. I said but he did not answer me.

Thomas, I know what your going through is hard but you'll get through it. I said.

Don't do that. Thomas said.

Don't do what? I asked.

Don't pretend that you know what I am going through. Dylan you have no idea how I feel right now. The pain I am going through, so don't pretend you know how it feels. Thomas said.

Well than help me. Thomas, I just want you to be ok. I said.

You really want to help me, you can leave me alone. Thomas said as he got up and walked away from me.

Quinn than came over to me.

This is exactly why I don't talk to my siblings about their stuff. I said.

Well, you at least got him to speak. Quinn said.

Still, I rather have the Thomas that would non stop talk about batman and would beg Daryl for a ride on his motorcycle back. He just needs time. And I'm gonna give that to him.

I had did what Thomas asked me to do, I left him alone. Payton would do check up on him a few times.

After a few hours Rick and the rest, came back but their was one problem, Tyreece did not make it.

I remembered when we first met Tyreece he was kind, sweet, and caring. I knew he found peace. Sasha took the news hard. And Tyreece death did not help Thomas at all.

We had a funeral for Beth and Tyreece. It wasn't much but it was better than nothing.

The next day we started looking for a place to camp.

We walked for hours, we had very little  breaks. Enough for Daryl and Payton to go hunting.

While Daryl and Payton went off somewhere we found several water bottles that were left on the road. With a note that said from a friend.

After Daryl and Payton came back Rick informed them about the water bottles.

What else are we gonna do? Tara asked.

Not this. We don't know who left it. Rick said.

If that's a trap, we already happen to be in it. But I, for one, would like to think it is indeed from a friend. Eugene said.

What if it isn't? They put something in it? Carol asked.

Eugene what are you doing? Payton asked.

Quality assurance. Eugene said as Abraham smacked the water out of Eugene's hand.

Listen, I know we have met crazy people on are way here. People we can't trust. But this, a person leaving us water with a note that says, from a friend. Really doesn't scream crazy person for me. Nathan said.

We can't. Rick said.

Rain than started coming down on us. We all started laughing joy. Tara and Rosita were laying on the floor. While Nathan and Carol were smiling. Rick told us to grab the empty water bottles we had and fil them up with the rain that was pouring down.

As we did we all noticed a barn that was close to us. We went up to it and made sure that their were no walkers in the barn.

After Rick said it was clear we went inside and rested up.

Thomas was distancing him self him from the group. I went up to him, just to make sure that he was okay.

Listen, I know I'm the last person you want to see right now, I just want you to know that your right. I had no right to tell you that I knew what you were going through. Because I don't, but that doesn't mean that I don't miss her to. Beth was an amazing person, she was their for us when we felt sad. She was in light in are group. And I know that you really miss her, and I know you need space to process all of it. So I'm gonna give that to you. Just promise me you will not take care of yourself. I said.

I started walking away until I heard Thomas say something.

I promise. Thomas said as I smiled.

Thomas pov

The truth was that I have tried to sleep. But evetime I close my eyes all I see is Beth getting shot, and I get reminded of how I felt. The anger, the pain I felt. The worst part is that I did not even know when this feeling would ever go away.

I was sitting by my self while the others near the fire, until Daryl came beside me.

He didn't say anything he just sat down with me.

Daryl was someone I thought I could always talk to. No matter what.

I see her when I close my eyes Daryl. I said as I tuned to him.

I see Beth dying evetime I close my eyes. And it hurts, it really hurts. To the point where I don't know what to do anymore. I said as I was struggling to hold in my tears.

Before Beth and I spit, she told me something. She said that when she would be gone that I would miss her so bad. And she was right I do. I see her two when I close my eyes. But than I remembered something else she told me. She said that no matter how hard it's gonna get, that she will always be with us. Looking after us, that she will be looking after you. Daryl said.

Daryl than put his hand on my shoulder.

She also said that you were her best friend, and that meeting you was one of the best things to ever happen to her. Daryl said.

I couldn't hold them in anymore, tears came down my face. I tried wiping them off but Daryl brought me into a hug. It's okay to let it out. You don't have to let her go either. Daryl said.

I know. I said.

Daryl was right. I didn't have to let Beth go. But I had to live for her.
