Bullets were coming from left and right. Mae joined with me later. 

Here take this. Mae said as she handed me a grenade. 

Thanks. I said as I threw it over the wall to the sanctuary. 

Okay, you stay here I'm going to clear the place. I said. 

I ran past the wall shooting a few saviors.  There was a house right next to the main buildings in the sanctuary. I went inside, it looked clear. I was about to open a door but then I felt someone grab me from behind, and slam me to he ground. 

I tried getting my gun but the man kicked it aside. He started strangling me. I than head butted him and kicked him in the balls. I took the chance to get my gun. I kicked him to the ground and shot him in the head. 

Daddy? I heard a little girl's voice. 

I turned and saw little girl, she was holding a to a little stuff animal. Her face had horrific expression. That's when I put the pieces together. The man I just killed was this little girl's father.

The girl than screamed and ran out the back door. 

Wait! I said. 

By the time I got out the door, the little girl got shot in the head. By one of the Saviors.   My heart was racing. Guilt started taking over. 

Hey, Dylan come on we have to go! Mae called over.

I started leaving, but I looked at the little girl's body one more time.

Mae was telling me how many people we lost.

Eric got shot, so we need to get him back to Hilltop. Mae said. 

Yeah. I said. 

As we were walking to where Eric was, we noticed that Eric was not there. 

Where is he? Mae asked as Aaron came to join us. 

Aaron then started crying, Mae looked and saw Eric, only is was not Eric. It was a walker. 

Maw started crying as Aaron was holding her. 

Mae, Aaron we have to go. I said. 

Mae tried getting Aaron, but he couldn't move. 

Aaron I know okay, listen I know, I feel your pain. But that's not Eric anymore he's gone. Mae said. 

Aaron finally agreed to go.

My mind could not leave the look that little girl gave me. I killed her father right Infront of her. I was the person that took the most important person in her life away from her. And I could of done something to keep her alive. 

Hey. I heard Rick touch my shoulder. 

You okay? Rick asked. 

Uh, yeah. I'm fine. I said. 

Okay, listen Peyton and Daryl just finished clearing out the walkers coming this way, I need you to take Mae and meet back up at Alexandra. Rick said. 

What, no Rick I can still fight. I said. 

Listen I know you can, but I need you to go back. Payton, Daryl and I will take care of things here. Rick said. 

Fine. I said. 

I got Mae and met up with Ethane, we took the car back and were on the way back. When we got their I asked about Quinn. But I was told that she went to Hilltop. 

I went up to take watch. I was just sitting their.  Carl came and joined me later. 

Hey, how was it? He asked. 

It was horrific. I said. 

I'm sorry I couldn't come. Carl said. 

No, I know why you couldn't come. Don't apologized for that. I said. 

Than tell me what's wrong? Carl said. 

What? I asked. 

Dylan I have known you for years. I know when something is wrong. So out with it.  Carl said. 

When we were out their, I killed a savior, not just any savior, I killed a little girl's father. Right Infront of her. The way she looked at me was the same way I looked at Negan that night. And the worst part I wasn't even able to save her. The second she looked at me she ran out and she got shot. I said. 

Dylan it wasn't your fault. Carl said. 

Yes it was Carl,  I didn't have to kill him, but I did and now that little girl is dead now because of me. I said. 

No it wasn't. Dylan you were just defending your self. Okay, listen I know we all had to make hard decisions. Carl said. 

That's no excuse! Carl I killed a little girl's father.  And now it's the only thing I think about. Dylan said. 

Carl then puts his arms around me. 

I know, okay I know. But that does not mean it was your fault. Okay. Carl said. 

I hugged Carl back. Negan had to die, no matter what. But maybe it was time to think that not all saviors needed to die.
