Today was the day. The day we all have been longing for. Negan would die today. I was getting my guns ready when Quinn came up to me.
You okay? Quinn asked.
Yeah, I'm fine. I said.
You know you don't have to lie to me, I know when you're not telling me the truth. Quinn said.
No, I'm fine really. I said.
Okay, well do you have all you need for the fight? Quinn asked.
Yeah, but don't you need a gun, better get them now. I said.
Yeah, I already got one, but I'm not going. Quinn said.
What, why? I asked.
Someone has to stay with Tara and help her defend this place, plus Alden is helping me to. Quinn said.
Alden, as in the savior, I really don't think you should trust them. I said.
Dylan I know why you don't trust them, but they're people not just saviors, and they decided to stay and help us. So yes I trust them, mostly Alden. And he saved my life so I kinda owned him. Quinn said.
Just promise me you'll be safe. I said.
I will. Quinn said.
Once I was done getting ready, I went over to Mae her pregnancy's really progressed.
Mae maybe you should stick this one out. I said.
Out of the question. Mae said.
Mae, I really think you should stay here. I said.
Dylan, just drop it I'm not staying. I need to see this happen okay. Mae said.
I knew how much this mean to her.

Everyone was done getting ready and we headed off. My heart was beating fast, Payton put her hand on my shoulder. I assured her that I was fine. But I really I didn't even know if I was okay.
It does not matter how I feel right now, I had to focus on the battle.
We walked and followed the tracks that the saviors set, we followed them to an open field.
We waited for any sign of them to come out. Then we heard Negan's voice on the radio.
Well, damn Rick look at that. pegged again. Pegged so very hard. I ambushed your ambush, with an even bigger ambush. Negan said.
How about you step out and face us? Rick said.
Oh, I am everywhere Rick. Some more bullhorns, more walkers. See how you do. Make it fun for all of us. But guess what I did. I brought your old friends, Gabriel and Dwight. Anyway you know it never had to be a fight. You just had to accept how things are. So here we are, congratulations Rick. Negan said.
A bunch a saviors came behind us with guns.
But before anything happed we all heard a bunch of gunshots, but they were not at us, they were all shot at the saviors.
Now! Rick yelled.
We all took the chance and went after each and every savior. But me once I saw Negan running I ran after him. So did Rick.
We both shot while Negan hid behind a tree. Rick ran out of bullets but I still has some left, I went closer to the tree but Negan slammed the gun out of my hand and punched me. Rick than slammed Negan to the ground but Negan grabbed his bat and slammed his bat against his foot.
Once Rick was on the floor, Negan started talkin about how he was always gonna kill Glenn, Abraham, and Thomas. But all he wanted was just those three deaths nothing else.
I grabbed my gun, but I than realized that I used al my ammo.
Please just give me ten seconds for Carl. Rick said.
Negan started counting, while Rick was about to explain.
Carl said it doesn't have to be a fight. Rick said.
He was wrong. Negan said.
No, he was right. Rick said.
Negan than started to cry, it took Rick by surprises but I saw my chance, I got a piece of broken glass that fell from one of Rick's bullets and I sliced Negan's throat open.
C-Carl didn't know s-shit. Negan said.
I pinned him down, this was it I could end it all right her. If this was al so easy than why couldn't I do it, my hand would not move, my breathing became more fast. Negan needed to die, he needed to. My head started hurting a memory of Thomas came flooding in my head.

Okay so Rick said that the plan was to kill the saviors, then Gregory woold trade with us. I said.
Dylan, I don't know if we should do this. Thomas said.
What are you talking about? I asked.
Killing these saviors, I mean what do you really think killing these people will get us what we want? Thomas said.
Yes, if it means we can get food. than yes. I said.
No, Dylan, we just can't kill everyone. I know it's hard to see that due to the world we live in, but not everyone has to die, and killing these saviors is not the answer. Just promise me you will just think about this. No matter what that person, did just remember their just people, and that we don't have to kill everyone. Thomas said.
My eyes filled with tears if that memory. I screamed and stabbed the broken glass into the dirt.
I got off of Negan. Rick than put his hand on my shoulder. He looked at Negan, and I knew he was thinking of Carl.
Save him. Rick said.
I looked Mae, her face was heart broken.
Rick, no, you can't do this, you promised me, you promised me that Negan would be dead. Please Dylan! Mae yelled.
Mae we have to. I said.
No, this is not your choice, I please he killed your brother, the child of my baby, please Dylan, Rick! Mae was now crying, Rosita went and hugged her so tight. My heart broke for her. I knew that Mae would never forgive me. And that hurt me.
Once we got back I stopped and went to look at Thomas's grave. I didn't say anything, I just sat there and let every single tear emotion come out. Payton came and joined me. We didn't do anything we just hanged on to each other and looked at Thomas's grave.
This was a new beginning for us. Something I hoped that we could all move on together.
