Forgotten past.

Is the past really forgotten or is it something that sits at the back of your mind that you keep pushing away.

Axina looked scared. I didn't understand what she was talking about not until I had pushed her slowly to be met with dark green eyes. He wore a smirk, one of his eyebrows raised.

He looked well dressed but not over dressed. He's not very tall and should be around six feet. He was on a pair of regular jeans and black shirt, his hair looked scattered but that should be the style. I looked back at Axina who wore an uncertain expression.

He was someone who Axina never wanted to meet. As a child, Axina loved the tales of mates and the entwining of the soul. She wanted to experience all of those things but what fate had in store for her was something she couldn't fathom.

"What do you want now?" she asked, her eyes burning down at the strange mans eyes. It held a lot of emotions, more of hate and disgust.

"Nothing, I was just passing by. As a matter of fact, I have nothing to do with you so you don't need to put your nose," The man replied with a smirk on his face. I looked at my friend and I knew just then that she was in a state of mental breakdown but she couldn't risk being seen as weak.

"She's not some garbage you can talk to like that!" I snapped. I didn't know where the boost of confidence came from and I tried my best to keep my wolf in.

"What can you do, just stay out of this. It doesn't concern you in any way," His words were enough for me to just rip his head out and leave it for the vultures but I knew the risk I was going to take if I did that.

"You better tell that petty human friend of yours to stay out of this," Tony said referring to me and that got Axina really angry. Her wolf was surfacing and she was trying her best to keep it in because of the humans that passed by.

"You should watch your mouth Tony. You rejected me and now I, Axina Gold reject you too. I have nothing to do with you. I wish I accepted your rejection years back. You have no business here so you better leave." Axina snapped, her voice was harsh and the tone more predative and less human.

She dragged me by my hands.

"let's go Maya, I don't have any business here"

We went passed Tony, he didn't move or make any attempt to stop us. He just shrugged. I felt like killing him but I just kept my peace. Axina and I made it to where the car was parked. She entered the drivers seat while I made for the back seat.

Axina took hold of the the steering driving steadily, her thoughts still wandering. It's been five years since she last saw Tony. He just brought back the pain She felt years ago. The pain which Maria helped her with, the pain which I thought She would never feel again.

I looked at Axina who was still battling with her thoughts. I felt pity for her. Tony was an idiot and I know that she's going to find someone who'll truly value her worth and love her for who she is.

We reached the small comfy building just in time. Axina parked the car, She didn't bother saying a word to me. She just locked the car and headed straight to the door. I followed behind. Maria was in the sitting room. Axina didn't bother greeting, she went for the stairs, cleaning the already fallen tears from her cheeks. I wanted to follow after her but then a voice stopped me.

"let her be, she'll overcome it," Maria said looking at me straight in the eyes.

"Perhaps I have something important to tell you," she finished, her face lit up, I didn't know if she was smiling at me or she found something amusing within herself.
