Unknown presence.
The moment your senses go high on alert when an unknown person knows more about you than you do yourself.

I woke up to find Axina still asleep. I didn’t bother waking her, just took my bath and got dressed in one of the outfit that she had picked out for me. I wore black long tank top and gray joggers with white glittering slippers to match. I left my hair to fall freely, covering parts of my face.

I sat on my bed, pondering on what to do next. The stress on me was too much to handle. I wish mother was still around, I would have loved one of her advice.

A knock was heard on the door, breaking me from the little fighting I was having with myself.

“Come in!” I commanded silvery from where I was before a tall figure with white hair entered, beaming with smiles. He came to where I was staying before he sat by my side.

“good morning Lia!” he greeted, his eyes scanning my features.

“good morning D,” I greeted as well, a fake smile plastered on my face. I was still stressed from yesterday and how I chose to cover it was with a smile on my face but that wasn’t enough cover as my brother was quick to point out that something was wrong.

“What is the matter?” he asked, his eyes still fixed on me. I rolled my eyes to the other side of the room, trying to hold back the vulnerability I was about to display.

“I saw him D and he said we leave today,” I said flatly before I returned my gaze to him. His expression a sadder one, conveying a message that he feels it.

“you don’t have to bother about me D, I can take care of myself,” I explained.

“After all, he’s my mate. He wouldn’t possibly harm me,” I say, looking up at Dylan who was still processing what I’ve just told him.

“You’re my sister and I care about you Lia, I haven’t seen you for a long time and you’re just going to disappear again,” he interjected.

“Everything would be alright one day D and I’ll be able to visit whenever I want,” I insinuate wobbly, tears dropping down my cheeks. Dylan wipes it away, bringing me in for a hug.

We pull apart before Axina wakes up, throwing her hands up in the air.

“Good morning sunshines!” she greets, her gaze fixed on the both of us.

Dylan clears his throat, catching our attention.

“See you guys later,” he said before he stood up from where he was. His movements were swift and in no time he left the room, closing the door behind him.

“Oh Maya!” she said in a high pitched voice, turning to look at me.

“you’ll disturb the others,” I say quietly but Axina brushed my suggestion aside, going back to what she was saying. Thank goodness that her voice wasn’t as loud as before.

“I can’t believe we wont be able to see each other again, who knows how he may be?” she pointed out. I look at Axina, a strained smile on my face.

“Why do we have phones,” I said, which was more of a statement than a question.

“Good one Maya, you are advancing,” Axina commented, rather sarcastic.

“Silly girl” I retorted.

“Grand ma!” she said poking out her tongue at me. Axina was one heck of a problem and the thought that I was leaving again without spending enough time with her was saddening.

“Axi!” I call out to her with puppy dog eyes.

“A favour from you. Please!” I pleaded while she stared at me with keen interest.
