“wrong timing” I expressed.

She looked down at me, unsure of what to say.

“What do you want this time?” I asked immediately.

Her eyes dart around the room with her hands folded. She was still bare footed with the anklet she wore the other day. Her beautiful sleeveless gown had it’s way just above her knees. Her long hair covered most of her shoulders while she looked at me with those grey eyes.

She walked steadily to where I was and brought forth her hands, motioning for me to take hold of it.

“You want answers, you want to know what I am and the role I play in your life, just take hold of my hands”

I didn’t really know what I wanted but the woman with an angelic smile that stood before me had the answer, she wouldn’t hurt me, she had carried me as a child and knew my mother. I took hold of her warm hands and it felt as though, the life force I had was zapped away from me. I wanted to let go but it was too late. I found myself in an unknown environment and before I could open my mouth to vent out my frustration, she stopped me.

“I’ll explain everything…”

I took in the surrounding we were in, mostly covered by fog that seemed to become denser as we walked.

“Where are we?” I asked uncertain

“Ireland”

“Huh… Ireland… How… What… Are you a… Witch” I stammered

“Ireland is my home and where I was born and no, I’m not a witch”

“What’s this fog, I can barely see” She took hold of my hands immediately, leading me to a place that was not so dense, the fog cleared as we walked by.

“Would you grab something to eat?” She asked

“No no, I’m okay… If you had not dragged me here, I would have been asleep by now”

“Just stay by my side” she reassured. I followed behind, watching as passers by gave curious glances every once in a while, mostly on her not wearing a footwear and well, the fact that my hair was white.

“What’s your name?”

“It’s Aoife”

We grew silent as we walked, while I enjoyed the silence, I prayed for it to end soon.

“How did you know my mother?” I asked but Aoife gave deaf ears.

I didn’t complain, I just followed, observing and watching the people of this country. I haven’t been here before and didn’t have it in my list to visit but here I am, walking side by side with a woman I barely know.
The time here isn’t much of a difference to the one back home, I’ll say one hour at most.

We entered a buzzing restaurant, Aoife grabbed some bunch of stuffs before we left.

“Aoife!” I called, she turned to look at me, charming smile plastered on her face.

“Don’t worry, we’re almost there”

We walked some miles before we stopped in the middle of nowhere. The place was so quiet and void of human contact.

“Just a little while” she said before we continued. Walking deeper into the woods. I halted my steps the moment she had stopped, waiting for her next action. She took hold of my hands and we walked straight in, more like zapped.
