Kinuha ko na nga muli ang isang option at agad hinubad yon pero agad lumapit si Blake sa akin. "I was thinking the same. You know..maybe we should cancel dinner." sabi nito at manghahalik nanaman sana ito pero hinarang ko na agad ang hanger sa kaniya.
"Behave, Alexandro, may pupuntahan tayo ngayon!" sabi ko dito at napangiti siya at hinawakan nito ang balakang ko saka nagsalita. "Well then, my love..you'd better hurry the fúck up and decide what you're wearing before I tear your undies off." sabi niya saka ako hinalikan. Jusko po. Bakit ba napaka-𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑎𝑐 nang aking 𝑠𝑜𝑜𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 ℎ𝑢𝑠𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑑?!!
"Come on, Doc..Let's go before I change my mind now." sabi nito at napailing nalang ako at mabilis na nagbihis na.
Blake leads me to his car, and he drives me a short journey through his estate.
Stepping into Mr Miller's house, I blown away by the expensive furniture and smooth, glossy floors. Mas ten times ang laki nito kesa sa bahay ni Blake, wow.
"Glad you could make it, son." biglang dating naman ni Sir Arthur, his father.
"Good evening, father." bati nito sa kaniya.
"Thank you for inviting me, Mr Miller." sabi ko at tumango siya.
"You're welcome, Isabella! Pssh. No need for such formalities--- you're family! Call me Father or Papa." sabi niya sa akin at ngumiti ako ng alangan.
"Uhm.. Thank you, Papa." sabi ko and I notice Mike staring at me from the corner of my eye while downing whiskey from a crystal glass. Just ignore him, Isabella, ignore him, okay!
"Nice dress..and nice--(wink)" sabi nito saka kumindat at tumingin sa katawan ko pero mahina lang yon para kami lang ni Blake ang makarinig.
"You---!" inis na sabi ni Blake pero pumagitna si Mr Miller.
"Now, now, boys! I want a nice, quiet family dinner without you boneheads throwing punches, got it?" seryosong sabi nito.
"Yes, sir!" natatawang sabi ni Mike sa ako tiningnan mula ulo hanggang paa na para akong hinuhubaran, fúck?!!
"Please, take a seat, everyone. Dinner is ready." sabi ni Mr Miller.
I sit down across from Mike, who throws me smirk, and soon the dinner is served.
"So, son, do you have a date for the wedding yet?" biglang sabi ng father nito at huminga ng malalim si Blake.
"We talked about this, Pa, remember? I told you the necessary preperations have been made but--" they are?!
Tiningnan ko si Blake. "Why didn't you talk to me about this?" mahina kong tanong.
"Isabella---?"
"Our family has certains traditions..You'll get to used to it." biglang sabi naman ni Papa Arthur na lalong kinakunot ng noo ko.
"Anyway, as I was saying..The plans had to be put on pause due to the other night..but I'm better now." sabi nito at napatango-tango si Papa Arthur.
"Very well. I just hope that now with you getting yourself a wife and all, you'll finally settle down--start making a man of yourself."
Napansin ko namang nanginginig ang kamay ni Blake kaya agad kong hinawakan yon at pinisil ng mahina saka ngumiti. He immediately covers my hand with his.
"She'll also need to resign from the hospital once the marriage is official." sabi nito na kinalingon ko sa kaniya. "That'll give you time to start trying for a family." sabi pa niya.
"I'm sorry..what?!" di ko napigilang tanong ko dito.
"Isabella, you don't really think you can carry on operating once the babies come, do you?" sabi nito na kinataas ng isang kilay ko.
