Doing quirk test with no quirk? This is gonna be interesting...

Once they had changed into the PE uniforms, Aizawa lead them outside to a large open race track course, there was  a large gym building nearby so it was easy to guess that they wouldn't be doing the orientation that Maki personally found boring.  It wasted time that could be spent on something more valuable like training.  After all, wasn't that what they needed lots of if they we're going to become heroes?  Contrary to what many people might think, being a hero is far from the fairytale or success story it's presented as.  Ask she thought about this, she realised she could easily get a kick out of keeping count of how many people got caught their expectations flipped upside down!

"We're going to be doing a quirk assessment test" their scruffy teacher announced.  Like a flock of oversized parrots, her peers repeated what he just said in shock.
'That's point number one'
Her attention was drawn when one of her peers, a girl with brown hair and pink cheeks who she, Maki, remembered as the one with the gravity manipulation quirk, worriedly pointed out that they'd miss the orientation.  However, their teacher, who was clearly not in the mood for nonsense, quickly silenced her concerns.
"If you're gonna make the big leagues" he said "we don't have time for pointless ceremonies".  He went on by explaining that at UA, they weren't tethered to traditions like other schools, which subsequently meant that the teachers were free to run their classes however they saw fit.  Aizawa then showed a number of standard physical tests on his phone and started complaining about how it 'wasn't rational' that students weren't allowed to use their quirks in these tests.

"Bakugo" he addressed one of the students, a boy with spiky, ash-blonde hair and angry red eyes "you finished top in the practical exam right?  In junior high, was your best result at the softball throw?" he then asked.
"67 meters, I think" Bakugo replied nonchalantly,
"Then try doing it using your quirk" Aizawa instructed.
Bakugo was tossed a softball and was told anything he did to launch the ball goes as long as he stayed inside the circle. A wild grin spread on his face that made him look like a murderer and he unleashed a large explosion which launched the ball several hundred meters away until the ball was a tiny dot. A small beep sounded from their teacher's phone and he showed them Bakugo's score of 705.2 m.
"Know your maximum limits first" he said "it's the most rational way of gaging your potential as a pro hero". At this, her other classmates began to get excited because they could use their quirks as much as they wanted, she - Maki - thought that this was going to get interesting, she didn't have a quirk so she wondered how her raw physical prowess would fair against her classmates.
"So this looks fun huh?" Aizawa said in a sinister low voice "you have three years to become heroes, do you think it's all gonna be games and playtime?!"
'Oh, here it comes'
"Idiots" Aizawa exclaimed with a sadistic grin on his face "today you'll be competing in eight physical tests to gage your potential, whoever comes in last has none and will be expelled immediately!"
"WHAAATTT!!!"
'That's point two'
Maki quickly realised she needed to take he teacher's threat seriously but when did not? She was not going to be the one going home!

The gravity girl them complained that being expelled on the first day wasn't fair but once again she was silenced by their teacher who reminded them that the world was unfair and they had to overcome that with everything they had 'Plus Ultra style'. With that they games began.

50 meter dash:
Maki was paired against a boy with red spiky hair
"Good luck out there" he said, someone was obviously a good sportsman.
"You're the one who gonna need it" she nonchalantly replied
"Start!"
She launched herself from her starting position and began to quickly close the distance between the start and finish line, leaving her comparatively slow peer in the dust.  She managed to finish in 3.03 seconds, slightly faster than the stuck-up boy who turned out to have engines in his legs, this caused her classmates to excitedly chatter among themselves and throw her compliments.  The red haired boy finished a few seconds after her panting and wheezing.
"Hah-well" he said between pants "that was super-hah manly"
"...and you are?"
"Eijiro Kirishima, nice to meet ya"
"I'm Maki Zenin, just call me Maki"

Grip strength test:
Maki managed to reach a score of 360kg, one of her classmates who had multiple arms got a higher score than her.

Standing long jump:
She easily cleared the sandbox. (Actually she landed at least 4 meters away from it).

Repeated side steps:
Maki got a higher than average score due to her immense agility.

Softball throw:
The brown haired girl managed to get the very impressive score of infinity because she removed the ball's centre of gravity and it never came down. Next up was the green haired nervous wreck that tripped over his own feet at the entrance exam, she'd somehow managed to find out his name was Midoriya. He'd been doing pathetically so far, he was most likely going to be the one going home. Her peers nearby were discussing amounts themselves about his progress as well.
"Things aren't looking good for Midoriya if he continues like this" the engine leg boy said to himself
"Huh, of course not he's a quirkless loser!" Bakugo said in response to this
"If I had yen for every time I heard that line" Maki said
"Huh?" Bakugo finally took notice of her and gave her a death glare "what you want glasses?!" Their conversation didn't go any further though because the engine leg boy interrupted "What? No he has a quirk, aren't you aware of what he did in the entrance exam?"
"Huh?" Bakugo responded gruffly, clearly having no idea what he was talking about. Not that she - Maki - had any clue either.

Midoriya then went to made his throw, his arm having glowing veins running through them. He threw. The ball landed at 46 meters.
'Wait, did he stop using quirk, or- ?'
"I erased your quirk" the gruff irritated voice of their teacher said, his hair was now standing up on end and his scarf was floating around his shoulders. His once dark eyes were now glowing a fierce red which matched the intensity of his stare.
"The judges of the entrance exam weren't rational enough, someone like you should you should never be allowed to enrol this school"
'Wait, I recognise him now, he's Eraserhead'
With this new information and Aizawa giving Midoriya a scolding, Maki realised that he must be a one trick pony if he refrained from using his quirk until a time he was certain he was going to be last place, she found herself agreeing with her teacher's sentiments, if can handle a simple test, he shouldn't be here. Aizawa returned his quirk and bluntly told him to get his throw over with. A determined look spread on his face as he re-attempted his throw, this time, however, the glowing veins only appeared on his index finger at the last second of contact before he launched the ball with an immense force that created a shockwave. The ball reached 705.3 meters but his finger was broken as a consequence.
'I stand corrected' she thought as she was unable to form a coherent sentence from this surprising turn of events. Bakugo seemed even more shock than her because he ran towards Midoriya with the obvious intent to attack him before being stopped by Aizawa stopped him with his scarf.

"You're wasting my time" he said after releasing his quirk "Zenin your up next"
"Don't call me by last name" Maki said as she stepped up to the circle with the ball in one and a baseball bat in the other (She managed to ask a girl called Yaoyorozu to make her one with her creation quirk) her boldness to say this shocked most most her classmates. Aizawa was personally interested to see how she would turn out in this test, especially after he saw her results in the entrance exam and after finding out she was quirkless. He'd never seen a quirkless person with so much strength and combat ability before. Maki, threw the ball upwards before taking a batting stance, waiting for the instant the ball reached her eye level.

Now!

She swung the bat with all her might and it crashed into the ball, propelling it in a large arc in the air. The class and teacher stared on in a mixture of shock and awe. The ball landed with a score of 673 meters.
"Gone, home run" Maki said nonchalantly as she tossed her bat on the ground before slowly walking back to the stunned crowd.

'That's point three'
