"Snipe, I'm gonna be pairing Maki & Shoji against you." Aizawa said, the teachers were gathered in the conference room because they going to be changing the final exams in light of the recent events. "Shoji's quirk is useful for stealthy surveillance so if he uses it you can hit him with your quirk."
"Yeah I get that but why Maki?" Snipe asked curiously
"She's probably the best combatant in the her year and has is the most powerful in terms of raw physical abilities. However, she doesn't like relying on others and her victories in the Sports Festival were most down to how she used her quirk tools. If she's separated from them, she'll have a harder time beating you head on and she'll be forced to use her strategic skills more." Aizawa explained
"I understand." Snipe acknowledged.

"How about we put that to the test?" Snipe taunted as he aimed his reloaded gun towards Maki and fired a shot at her.  Maki swung her blade with precision and sliced the bullet in half. She then began nimbly leaping from foothold to foothold to make sure she stayed out of sight, deflecting any bullets that came too close.
'Impressive reflexes but let's spice things up a bit' Snipe thought and fired his gun at one of the kunai footholds, breaking it. At this Maki lost her balance and fell to the ground, luckily she managed to land on her feat and quickly run for cover behind a nearby pillar. Keeping her ears open, she heard the distinctive sound of cartridge cases hitting the floor and new bullets being loaded into the gun.
'So he's reloaded again.' Maki thought as she took a deep breath. She grabbed a nearby rock and threw it out from behind the pillar. Bang! She took the opportunity to run behind the other pillars at top speed so the bullets that were fired at her ended up hitting the pillars at the last second before impact.

Eventually after three shots, the firing stopped, Snipe had suddenly turned his attention towards the escape gate.
'So he's taken the bait at last, get ready Shoji!'
"Nice try but let's see how you fair now." Snipe said as he threw a smoke grenade in Shoji's direction.
'He's trying to impair Shoji's vision but his will be as well, now's my chance' Maki thought as she began running towards the smoke where Snipe had disappeared into. Two bangs were heard. One bullet left. In the smoke, Shoji had his hands up now that Snipe was at close range.
"Aren't you giving up a little to easily for a hero?" He taunted, suddenly both her rapid footsteps and the rush of wind as Maki suddenly leapt out of the smoke. Bang! Maki deflected, skidded to the ground and ran towards the arm holding Snipe's gun.
'That was your sixth shot! I won't let you reload!' She thought as she reversed the grip her sword and crossed her arms so Snipe's gun hand was stuck between her free hand and her blade.
"Shoji now!" She yelled and Shoji promptly cuffed Snipe's other arm, the weights and his surprise making him too slow to respond.
"Got him!" He yelled.
"Well isn't that impressive." Snipe said after he'd processed what had happened and the horn sounded again, announcing they'd passed.

When they got back to monitor room they were congratulated by Momo, Ida, Asui, Uraraka & Midoriya on their strategy and Maki's combat skills making their victory possible. Maki was just frustrated that she now had to get her bag repaired.

They then watched Mineta & Sero's match against Midnight. Sero was taken out of the game very quickly and Mineta began running away from his sadistic opponent, this turned out to be part of his plan to lure her away from the escape gate and trap her using his sticky balls whilst using a piece of Sero's tape to stop himself from breathing in the gas produced by Midnight's quirk. He them made a successful run for the escape gate. Last it was Midoriya and Bakugo's match against All Might, Maki knew that they had been paired up because of how badly they got along and they had been pitted against All Might because he was an unbeatable opponent for them which would force them to cooperate. It went very badly at first with both of them getting pummelled but eventually they formed a makeshift plan and made it to the escape gate.
