BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Hazel eyes slowly fluttered open, even though the sun wasn't even up, as a hand raced out from the lilac laid out on the bed, touching the off button on the clock. A groan was heard as the blob shifted from under the sheets, rising up to form the shape of a human. Maki felt the dull weight of her body as she slowly pulled herself from a groggy stupor. With a soft groan, she pushed up against the mattress and pulled herself upright. Arms stretching towards the white ceiling, her mouth involuntarily opened as she inhaled the air deeply. Maki rubbed her eyes, hair a mess from the night's previous activity of sleeping as she looked around with a dazed look.
'Where?'
Eyelids lowered and raised slowly, the reels of her mind slow on the uptake before it finally dawned on her where she was.
'Ah...'. Rubbing her heavily lidded eyes, she moved slowly from her bed as she remembered she wasn't in her room at the youth centre but somewhere else she would be calling home from now on (or for three to four years at least). Maki let out another yawn, a hand scratching the oncoming itch on her lower back as she made her way to the en suite bathroom. They had officially moved in yesterday...
On the other side of the light wooden door that led to the bathroom was a sink and a toilet. She wondered if they were able to install a shower in there.... She would have to ask later. Between the sink and toilet was a thin cabinet that held medicine, iron pills, a few first aid kits and a few other things that weren't stashed in the mirror medicine cabinet stationed above the sink. Along the wall to her right were built in shelves where she had placed some towels, toilet paper, extra shampoo and conditioner and a basket to carry everything to and from the shared baths. On the floor was a pair of green sandal slippers that she bought when she first left the Zenin clan. Grabbing her toothbrush, she placed so mint flavoured toothbrush and began to brush her teeth. Hazel eyes watched her reflection as she moved about to begin her day (she made a not to shower in the evenings from now on) as she thought back to last night's events. So much had happened.
Eventually she finished brushing her teeth and her hair, finally taming the her rats nest, before going back out to put on the short-sleeved version of the school uniform, forgoing the blazer that hung behind her door and she grabbed her school bag, weapons bag and phone. Taking a peek at the time, she noted it was still very early.
She was pretty hungry...
She assumed no-one would be awake and headed to the elevator to have breakfast.

Maki found herself at her desk as everyone else took their seats as Aizawa entered the room and looked at them all with a sigh and his usual semi-bored and aloof expression. He then commenced class, standing behind the teacher's podium.
"As I mentioned yesterday, your main focus this summer is obtaining provisional hero licences."
"Yes sir!" The class responded in unison as Aizawa's hands clasped either side of the podium, leaning forward. "Do not take this lightly. A hero license means that you're responsible for human lives. You can imagine that the exam to receive one is very difficult. Only 50% of students pass the tests required for these permits each year."
"It's that hard to get a provisional license?" Mineta exclaimed in disbelief.
"It is." Maki spoke up "...even the members of my clan struggled to pass it and they're some of the strongest quirk users in the country." The whole class looked at each other nervously at Maki's comment before Aizawa cleared his throat. "In order to prepare, today you'll concentrate on creating something new.""Two ultimate moves."
That was when the door opened and Ectoplasm, Midnight and Cementoss entered the classroom in style. Excitement surged through the entirety of the classroom as the students cheered "An exam is a normal school thing but this total hero work!"
Maki was feeling hyped because she would have to get creative with her's.
"In other words," Ectoplasm stated, "the techniques that will help assure your victory."
"To battle means to leverage one's own quirk. These techniques these techniques will be deeply ingrained into who you are," Cementoss interjected, holding up a finger. "Techniques that don't satisfy the requirement will not be allowed."
"Your moves represents who you are." Midnight added "These days most pro heroes have an ultimate move. Those who don't are fools."
Aizawa grunted and crossed his arms. "This may sound abstract but we'll explain more as the day goes on. For now, change into your costumes and meet in Gym Gamma."——————————————
Gym Gamma, aka the Training Dining Land (TDL), was like a giant empty warehouse.
Cementoss stepped forward in front of his colleagues, crouching down to plant both hands on the ground. "In this facility of my own devising... I am able to prepare terrains and training objects personalised for each and every one of you." He hurriedly constructed miniature platforms, stacked on top of each other, in order to demonstrate the use of his quirk. "So as you can see, it's an ideal area for you to train."
"Nice." Kaminari commented, hands stuffed into his pockets. Ida then wasted no time by shooting his hand up.
"Please allow me a question. What is the advantage of having ultimate moves for our provisional exam? May we know your reasoning?"
Aizawa let out a weary sigh. "That's two question. Calm down." Aizawa huffed before he affixed his gaze to the rest of the class before continuing, "The job of a hero is to save people from all sorts of dangers. Crime, accidents and natural or man-made disasters. Of course, the licensing exam analyses how well you're able to deal with such things. It won't just be fighting. Your ability to gather information and make quick decisions will be judged. In addition to how well you communicate, cooperate and lead others."
Midnight gave them a stern gaze, hands on her hips. "And this may be a given but fighting ability is heavily weighed as a determining factor. In this sense, being well prepared will add to your repertoire and those of you with an ultimate move will have stronger results."
"Your circumstances should not dictate the results of your future battles. Learn too be consistent and you will be a great asset on the front lines." Cementoss nodded and called to the students as he prepared to change the terrain, kneeling on the floor a short distance away from them.
"Your ultimate move doesn't necessarily have to be an attack. Take Ida's reciproburst, for example." Ectoplasm added, "This sort of temporary boost in speed is valuable enough that it falls into that category of excellence we're looking for." This made Ida extremely proud.
Midnight also listed Kamui Woods Lacerated Chain Prison as another example."Before the trading camp was abruptly brought to an end, we were supposed to spend the last few days on ultimate moves but obviously that didn't happen." Aizawa grunted, shoving his hands into his pockets. "For the next ten days of the summer break, we're gonna kill two birds with one stone and have you work on your ultimate moves. Prepare for intensive training." The ground rolled and rose into a series of small mountain as Cementoss melded the concrete as he wished, developing a rugged terrain like the mountains the class had trained at at camp with the Pussycats. Ectoplasm opened his mouth and unleashed a swarm of clones, which bounded over the terrain to await work with each student.
"In addition, you should think about how you can improve your costumes, especially now that you have a better understanding of your quirks." Aizawa announced, his gaze turning hard, determination lighting up in his black eyes. "I expect each of you to go Plus Ultra. Do you have it in you?""YES SIR!"
