It was the day before the term started; the summer break had come and gone and before any of them knew it, it was already time for the Provisional Hero Licensing ExamClass 1A had made haste onto the bus that would take them to the exam sight: Takoba National Stadium.  All the way there Maki could help but feel nervous, if she passed this she would be even closer to achieving her dream, she had to pass!  At the front of the bus, an annoyed Aizawa stood up, jerked his head towards the opening doors and called out,
"Get off the bus, we're here!"
Maki unclenched her hand in order to calm her nerves as she stared out the window, the enormous building had a red and cream coloured exterior.  She grabbed her costume and weapons bag and disembarked the bus.  The class was buzzing with nerves as they stared up at the stadium, with many visibly agitated.
"Ugh, I'm getting kind of nervous." Jiro sighed, throwing her head back.
"I wonder what they're gonna make us do." Mineta wondered, hopping from one foot to another in agitation, "Ugh, what if I can't get my license?"
"Mineta, don't ask if you can, say you will." An annoyed Aizawa said in his face, the boy instantly perked up after that and Aizawa straightened up and addressed the rest of the class, "If you pass the licensing exam, you novice eggs will hatch into chicks.  You'll be semi-pros."  This caused many of Maki's peers to perk up but soon their excitement turned into confusion when they were approached by students from another school.  Maki instantly recognised they were from UA's rival school Shiketsu from their caps that had a big 'S' on it.  Her eyes soon landed on one of them and she quickly became concerned.
'What the hell is she doing here?!'
Said Shiketsu student was a female with short dark green hair and hazel eyes.  She quickly began began insulting Maki's peers, particularly Bakugo and Todoroki.  When they started to jab back she raised a revolver and told them they should think before they speak.  That was when she decided to step in.  She got out she training pole arm and whacked the gun away.
"That's enough Mai, don't bully my peers any longer!" She barked at her, now that she'd made her presence known, the girl's expression soured instantly.
"Oh, Maki.  You're so pathetic I didn't even notice you." She jabbed, bitterness in her tone.  As they were staring each other down, Maki could here her classmates commenting about them.
"They look similar, are they sisters?" Shoji wondered out loud.
"Yes, we're twins," Maki, who was listening replied, causing her classmates to gasp in shock, "her name is Mai." She added before turning her attention back to her sister.  "Anyway Mai, why are you participating in the licensing exam?  All you can do is use your quirk to enhance your bullets and you've got shit for ultimate moves."
"Having a quirk is better than having no quirk at all," Mai retorted, "And it's better for me to be able to look down on you because my neck hurts from constantly looking up at others."
"Forget it, Mai, in the their eyes, we're both at rock bottom.  So you'd better get going and join you peers or your gonna get left behind."
Mai scoffed at this and put her gun away before turning and saying, "I'll settle the score with you!"

"What the hell is going on between you two?" Kaminari asked once Mai was further away.
"Oh, she hates me for leaving her behind when I left the clan because she's the exact opposite of me.  She's fine living under the clan's thumb as long as me and her could stick together.  The only way she's been allowed to participate in the exam is that the clan forced the Safety Commission to let her attend.  She's an average hero student at best and the clan hates her as much as they hate me."  Maki explained, placing her weapon back in her bag.

Soon another school approached them, KetsubutsuMaki saw some of her friends from the youth centre: Inumaki, Panda, Nobara and Megumi.  She was looking forward to competing with them.
