The sun is barely coming up when Y/n opens the coffee shop. He walks in and does the morning checks. Making sure everything was clean and ready for the day. Once he is done he waits for six O'clock to come around, he then flips the sign from closed to open. He then grabs his book sitting on the chair behind the counter. He reads until customers start to enter. He then starts taking orders and making drinks.

"Hello, how can I help you?" Y/n asks smiling at the man in a mask before him.

"One black coffee please," the man asks.

"Of course! That'll be $5.50 please" Y/n says smiling.

"Here ya go," The man says handing the bill to Y/n. Y/n takes it, handing the man his change.

"What should I put for the name?" Y/n asks before the man walks away.

"Shoji," Shoji says and Y/n nods. Okay, I'll get your coffee out as soon as possible" Y/n says and Shoji nods.

This routine goes by for a few months, and the two males get to know each other well. Shoji walks into the coffee shop seeing someone that isn't y/n behind the counter.

"I'll take a black coffee," Shoji orders his regular drink and pays for it.

"What's the name?" the female asks.

"Shoji" He answers and the girl's eyes light up.

"Wait, I knew you matched the description, one moment please," the girl says and walks to the back. She comes back just as fast as she left with a book.

"Y/n said to give you this, he said you showed interest so, here," The girl says and Shoji nods.

"Thank you," Shoji says and the girl nods.

"Anytime, I'll make your coffee right away," The girl says and Shoji nods.

He then walks to a table and sits looking at the book. 'To love and be loved,' Shoji reads smiling under his mask knowing this is the book Y/n has been reading the past few weeks. Shoji asked about it one day curious about what it was about. He opens the book and on the back of the cover sits a message. 'To Shoji, figured you'd like this, also have this XXX-XXX-XXXX ;)' Shoji reads and smiles. He grabs his phone and puts a number in his contacts under the name '<3Y/n<3' he smiles and looks up to see the girl placing a coffee on the counter.

"Shoji," She calls out and Shoji gets up walking over and grabbing his coffee.

"Thanks" Shoji calls out as he walks out. He walks to the park nearby and sits on a bench. He decides to text Y/n.

Shoji- Hey Y/n, thank you for book ~Shoji

Y/n- Oh you are welcome! Glad it got to you

Shoji- Me too, say why weren't you at the shop today?

Y/n- Oh, I'm visiting Miles... its the anniversary of the incident.

Shoji- Oh, sorry... didn't mean to bring that up

Y/n- No, no, you're fine... you didn't know!

Shoji- Okay, well, I'll see you tomorrow.

Y/n- Yeah! 100%.

Shoji- Okay great. :)

Shoji turns his phone off and places it in his pocket. He then opens the book and starts to read.

The next day Shoji walks into the coffee shop earlier than normal.

"Hello, Shoji!" The girl from yesterday greets.
