"Why... Why are you doing this?" Y/n  asks his boyfriend.

"I have to... I don't want this either but I have to listen to him," His boyfriend says and Y/n starts to tear up.

"Since when have you EVER listened to him?" Y/n asks making his boyfriend flinch.

"I'm sorry," His boyfriend says.

"Sho- Todoroki... If you were sorry, you wouldn't be doing this" Y/n says.

"Y/n-" Todoroki goes to say but is interrupted.

"L/n, if you truly want to break up... then you get to use my last name from now on," Y/n says.

Todoroki seems to relax after that.

"Save him when you get it Y/n," Todoroki says before walking away—Y/n's eyebrows furrow.

"What?" Y/n says before walking away as well.

The spot under the cherry blossom tree that once held wonderful memories was seemingly forever tainted with the breakup. 1A just graduated from UA and as they all left the school, Todoroki pulled Y/n to the side. Y/n thought Todoroki was going to propose as they talked about for so many years. Only to be surprised by a breakup instead. Endeavor had set up a quirk marriage for Todoroki and the boy seemed to be going along. The only off-putting thing was the last words he said to Y/n.

"Save him..." Y/n repeats.

"Who is he?" Y/n questions while he walked home.

As he walked into his room still lost in thought he shrugs, shaking his head.

"Whatever, he broke it off... no need to dwell..." Y/n says. He lays down and as soon as his head hits the pillow he starts to cry.

Three months passed, and Y/n entered his room to see a letter on his desk. He looks at it and sees it's from the Todoroki family, the family name stamped on the front giving it away. Y/n's brows furrow but he opens it anyways. He pulls out an invitation. A wedding invitation. Y/n shakes his head but reads it anyway. 'You are invited to the wedding of Claire and Shoto Todoroki. (Insert date time and address) *Bring the invitation to be let in*. Hope to see you there,' Y/n looks at the invitation and then at the envelope. There was no return address or address on it in general. Almost like it was hand-delivered.

"Hey, Mom!" Y/n yells out.

"Yes, sweetie?" Y/n's mom calls back.

"Did this letter get delivered by someone or was it mailed?" Y/n asks.

"Oh, Izuku stopped by and said to give it to you, I figured it was important so I left it on your desk. Oh, he also left this for you," Y/n's mom says walking into the room and handing a box to Y/n.

"Thanks," Y/n says and his mom nods.

"Of course sweetie, he also told me to tell you, 'He needs help, save him soon,' Not sure what that's about but seems important." Y/n's mom shrugs. Y/n nods and opens the box as his mom leaves. He opens it to see a dress shirt and pants. The outfit Y/n wore on his and Todorooki's last date. He remembers Shoto complimenting him a lot when he wore it.

"Oh my god... I'm so dumb," Y/n says to himself. Thinking back to the break up it all makes sense.

"L/n, if you truly want to break up... then you get to use my last name from now on," Y/n says.

Todoroki seems to relax after that.

"Save him when you get it Y/n," Todoroki says before walking away.
