A teen boy was sitting in his room, hiding away and trying his hardest not to listen to his fighting parents in the kitchen. He walks over to his window and opens it, then walks over to a tin and grabs it. He crawls out onto the rooftop and sits down. He closes his window leaving it open just a crack. He sighs before opening the tin and grabbing out a joint. He lit it with the lighter that was in the tin. He sat there staring up at the stars trying not to cry. There wasn't a moment in his life that he could remember his parents not fighting. They never got physical but that doesn't mean the boy didn't hurt hearing the brutal words his parents called one another. The boy feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. He sighs before taking the phone out and looking at the notification.

*One missed call from Birdy*

The boy smiles before putting everything away and crawling back into his room. He hides the tin in his side table before sitting on this bed. He plugs in his headphones and calls the person back. It rings twice before it's picked up.

"Hey! I was worried you were asleep already," another boy says.

"Naw, I'm not sleeping... was there something you needed?" the boy asks the other.

"Just wanted to see your face, that's all. School was brutal today so I wanted something good to see," The other boy says.

"Keigo... don't joke like that," the boy says.

"But Y/n! It's true!" Keigo says, making Y/n blush.

"Damn it..." Y/n says making Keigo laugh.

"I think that's ten to three now," Keigo says. Y/n rolls his eyes.

"Yeah it is... I'll get you to blush more, just wait!" Y/n says making Keigo laugh.

"Sure, sure. Anyway, you should go to sleep, you have school in the morning don't you?" Keigo says. Y/n nods and sighs.

"I'll try," Y/n says making Keigo nod.

"That's all I ask," He says. Y/n nods and waves.

"Bye Kei," Y/n says smiling.

"Bye N/n," Keigoo says. The two boys smile at one another before hanging up.

Y/n sighs before turning on some music and trying to sleep. A few hours later Y/n hears the sound of glass shattering. He sits up fast as he hears his father yell in pain. He gets up and runs out of his room and down the stairs.

"What the hell happened?" Y/n asks as he walks into the kitchen.

"Go to your room sweetie," Y/n's mom says while holding a glass plate. Y/n looks at his mom, then at his dad, then back to his mom.

"No... what did you do to him?" Y/n asks gesturing to his father whose head is bleeding.

"That's none of your concern," she says.

"Tell me or I'll run out and tell the neighbors," Y/n says.

"NO! DON'T!" Y/n's mom says.

"Tell me then," Y/n says.

"He wouldn't stop yelling, so I had to stop him," Y/n's mother says placing the plate down.

"Now, go to bed, I'm sorry for waking you," Y/n's mom says.

"Okay," Y/n says walking to his room. He shuts and locks the door before calling the police.

"911, what's your emergency?" the operator on the other end asks.
