Eijiro Kirishima and I have known one another since we were kids. We went to the same elementary school. Being neighbors and our parents being friends made it easy to be around one another. Eijiro was the only boy allowed in my room with the door shut, and vice versa. My parents trusted him just like his parents trusted me. When Middle school came I was ecstatic to go to the same school as my best friend. Only my dream was shattered when my parents sat me down a day before school was to start.

"Y/n, dear... we are moving..." My dad says.

"Were to?" I ask casually.

"Tokyo," My mom says. My eyes go big and shock settles on my face.

"WHAT?" I yell out shocked.

"I got a job offer and it's way better pay I couldn't pass it up," My mom says.

"But... Eijiro and I are supposed to go to school together!" I say sadly.

"We know... and if I could I'd let you stay but we can't afford two houses especially if we will be living in Tokyo," My dad says.

"Whatever," I said before standing up and walking to the front door.

"Where are you going?" My mom asks.

"I'm going to say goodbye to my best friend," I say looking back at them.

I open the door and walk next door. I knock sighing.

"Oh hello Y/n, welcome. Eijiro is out back, feel free to go say hi," Mrs. Kirishima says.

"Thanks," I mumble before walking in and going straight to the back door. I opened it, seeing my best friend sitting on the tiure seeing we used to play on every day as little kids.

"Eiji..." I call out as I walk to him.

"Hey N/n! What's up?" he asks.

"My parents just dropped a bomb on me," I say sitting on the bench by the swing. Eijiro gets off the swing and sits beside me.

"What'd they say?"He asks.

"I'm moving to Tokyo for my mom's job," I say sadly.

"Oh..." Eijiro says quietly. I just nod and look at him tears in my eyes.

"Yeah... promise me something," I say.

"Anything," He says.

"Don't forget me," I say and he nods.

"I could never forget you, N/n! You're my best friend," Eijiro says, making me smile. "There's that smile! We will get through this! I'm positive," he says. I nod and hug him.

"I should get back home... I'll message you okay?" I say and he nods.

"Okay!" he says, smiling wide. I walk out the back gate and into my house. Soon, it was time to leave, and after plenty of tears and hugs, I was in the car with my parents, driving to Tokyo.

"Is that everything?" I ask as I stand in the doorway of a house.

"Yup! That's everything," My friend Jameson says smiling.

"Thanks for your help, James. It means a lot. I know you're busy with work and your fiance," I say, and he smiles.

"It's no problem Y/n I don't mind at all," Jameson says smiling.
