Employees working on the project gather in the back room, the safest place in the facility. All seemed to be frozen in the moment, what was supposed to be a success ended up as a Frankenstein, something that should not exist and would be killed in vain. Everyone in the room was aware that their feelings had changed from when they were started, for some reason now the whole experiment seemed so wrong. It was too late to change anything now.
"Dr.Roma," One of the secretaries says standing up grabbing everyone's attention. He barely acknowledged her, only raising his eyebrows giving her a crude face. There was a time when he looked at her lovingly but by the end of this year that had all changed. He now hated to see her breath and made sure she knew it. The secretary tried all that she could to get her ex husband to love her again by trying to stand out more; she overlined her lips too much to the point it was halfway to her nose. She was always a natural, but she tried to be more for him, making her lose all of what made her, her. "Miss Emily, do learn how to apply your enhancement correctly or it will have the opposite effect."
The small smile she was able to mimic disappeared in a second, she was a kind woman now ripped of the beauty she had once possessed when she was happily along with Dr.Roma. Nothing about her stood out anymore, she was dull, skin unhealthy pale, and her eye's were no longer doors to her soul.
Dr.Roma had taken it for himself, all of her spark. He stored it within himself and turned it into this dark energy that captivated everything. The light in every person around the facility seemed to be swallowed in it.
"I am addressing you at this time because, as you are well aware, the subject has breached containment and is presently under pursuit for eradication. Allow me to reassure you that this incident represents not a setback, but rather a significant stride forward in our scientific journey. None of our intricate findings have been compromised; we possess meticulous physical documentation of our entire research corpus. Furthermore, I must emphasize the extreme caution regarding the nature of this entity. Disclosure to the public would exact an incalculable toll, not only professionally but personally, as well as for your bloodline." Dr.Roma says all of this with the same blank expression that he always seemed to keep in every situation. He leaves shortly after not sparing a second to start planning out the second phase of the operation.
The faces of everyone in the room had gone to gloom down to anger. The doctor never found out that the bird now has the mind capacity of a three-year-old child and that what started as an animal is slowly turning into a human. Something that we all decided to keep a secret, if we were ever successful at creating a super soldier there is a small chance that they will become something more than a monster.
