Y/n stormed into their bedroom, the heavy door slamming shut with a thunderous bang that echoed through the house. The tension from a disastrous day lingered in the air around them. Their mind was a whirlwind of frustration and exhaustion, and their patience was at it's breaking point.
They took a deep breath, trying to steady their rapid heartbeat, but the turmoil inside them only grew.
"Grey! Lovesick! Come here!"
Y/n's voice cut through the silence like a blade, carrying an urgency that left no room for hesitation.
In the living room, the two chosen ones exchanged a glance.
Grey's wide eyes reflected his perpetual anxiety, and his fingers fidgeted with the hem of his cardigan. Lovesick on the other hand, looked up disheveled but eagerly.
"Darling called for us?" Lovesick muttered under his breath, more to himself than to anyone else as a wide loving smile broke through on his face.
Grey shuffled around nervously. "We should go to see them, right?"
As they walked towards their room, they passed the other Wally's who were scattered around the house, their expressions a mix of confusion, concern, and in some cases, jealousy. Some had tried to approach Y/n earlier but had been met with cold rejection and curt replies. Now, they watched as those two approach their neighbors door, wondering why they were called.
"Y/n? We're here."
"Just come in."
They replied after they heard knocking on their door, their voice was softer now but still carried a desperate edge.
The door creaked open, and Grey and Lovesick stepped inside. To their surprise, Y/n didn't lash out or vent their frustrations as they had expected. Instead, their face crumpled, and they surged forward enveloping them both in a tight hug.
"I'm sorry for shouting." They whispered eventually, their voice barely audible. "I just... I needed you both."
Grey shyly looked away at first but quickly leaned into the touch letting himself be held like a pillow as his small frame fitted perfectly in their arms.
He looked up at them with sad eyes, snuggling up onto their chest.
"You always comfort me... so I'm here for as long as you need me."
Lovesick didn't need to be asked twice, with his taller frame he wrapped his arms all around Y/n. His eyes soft with affection.
He nuzzled his face against their shoulder.
"My most~ I'll always- ALWAYS be here for you."
They both received a kiss on the cheek before they settled in a more comfortable position on the bed.
"What the hell! So they are rude to me but sweet to those two... those two UHGHH-" Opposite scowled, a permanent fixture on his face when he was wasn't getting what he wanted.
"Don't ruin the moment for them. Look neighbor already seems to be doing better. Let those three be." Royal tries to shush him as he just want to help out even from a distance.
"Also like you aren't rude to them all the time." Original sasses back at his upset counterpart as he nudged him aside to take in his spot.
A small crowd was gathering around the bedroom room as they tried to listen in and watch whatever was happening inside.
Intrusive puppets they are.
"Can you all be any louder." Rainbow sighs sarcastically, his expression dead ass tired of their antics.
"If only they called for me." Priest mumbles, a hint of irritation is his voice as well but it stemmed from different reasons.
"I'll kill whoever made them upset. I'll be sure to make it painful." Mob said ominously as his gaze was intense.
"Ew, who invited you, murder is so unnecessary, no class or tact at all." Actor scoffed, like he was any better, already planning on ruining the perpetrators social life.
If only dumb-dumbs just realized their neighbor was simply having a bad day, just needing their favorite sillies to cheer them up.
