In the late 90s, a beloved children's television show, "Welcome Home" was given a fresh start.

The original series had captivated audiences with it's charming puppets and heartwarming stories. However, a "Lost Episode" surfaced, revealing disturbing elements that were not intended for children. This shocking revelation led to the show's abrupt cancellation. The puppet star, Wally Darling, was at the center of it all, his once-innocent demeanor forever tainted by the episode's contents.

Years later, the show returned with a new face: Reboot Wally. He was a modernized version of his predecessor, designed to bring back the charm of the original series while avoiding its darker undertones.

He was fully aware of his role and the legacy of his predecessor. With lavender eyes and a stylish sweater adorned with a large smiley face belt, he was every bit the charismatic lead character. But beneath his confident exterior, he harbored deep insecurities about being merely a replacement, a second-rate version of the original.

Upon his creation, Reboot was forced to watch the "Lost Episode" repeatedly, a horrifying induction into his new role. The experience was traumatic, leaving him fearful of repeating the same mistakes. The show's management made it clear that any resemblance to the Originals actions would have severe consequences. This created a lingering fear in him, one that was hard to shake off.

In this new iteration of "Welcome Home" humans were part of the show alongside puppets. Among them was Y/n, a human who played the role of one of the neighbors. Being the comedic foil to Reboots antics, often turning him down or making him the butt of jokes.

Despite this dynamic, a genuine friendship blossomed between them.

Reboot enjoyed spending time with Y/n, often seeking their company outside of filming. He admired their wit and kindness, and although he would never admit it, he had developed a crush on them.

Their interactions provided him with a sense of normalcy and comfort, something he desperately needed in a world where he constantly felt like an impostor. However, Reboots growing feelings for Y/n were complicated by his self-perception as a mere "replacement" puppet, not deserving of genuine affection.

The studio was abuzz with excitement as the crew prepared for the upcoming "Welcome Home" Valentine's Special.

The set was transformed into a picturesque suburban neighborhood, complete with white picket fences and vibrant gardens. The centerpiece was Y/n's charming puppet house, adorned with heart-shaped decorations and strings of fairy lights. The opposite of Reboots puppet house that stood on the other side, the eyes in the windows silently watching along.
