Y/n sprinted towards their car, hastily fixing their work uniform and lab coat. They didn't have time to focus on anything beside the road and build-in clock.
The boss would not be happy with you being late-
When they arrived at the parking space outside the factory they realized one crucial thing. Someone had tagged along.

But as much as you cared for him, he seemed prone of causing you trouble.
"Lovesick what the hell?!"
"Good morning to you too gorgeous~"
Y/n wanted to bang their head on their steering wheel in frustration. They already where on thin ice at work, this would not make things better.
"You can't come with me while I'm working, I already made that very clear."
"Isn't it the bring your best friend to work day? Since I'm already here I might as well come in."
Lovesick acted innocently, completely curling out of his hiding spot in the back seat. He stepped out first, opening the door for them on the outside.

The human knew they wouldn't be able to ditch the yellow puppet behind in the car, it was too hot of a day. He also didn't have drivers license so he couldn't get back home himself.
"We are going to have a serious talk about this at the end of the day." They sighed, giving him a warning look. "Just stick with me and act like your supposed to be here."
"Don't worry, I wasn't planning on leaving your side~" He smiled, grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
"So mind explaining this to me? I'm waiting-"
Rainbow looked PISSED as he was impatiently tapping his feet on the floor. Giving Lovesick a distasteful look.
Y/n had tried to sneak him into a normally vacant office on the top floor but got caught in the act.
"My sincere apologies! Things didn't go as planned this morning and... well-"
"It's upsetting to see how you disregard our work policies. No outsiders are allowed here without my permission. You should know that by now."
The boss gave his employee a glare but calmed down after seeing how panicked they looked.
He never meant to be angry with them, as he found their company the most comforting.
Y/n had stuck by his side for longer than anyone had, he didn't want to ruin the trust he was building up with them.
"You're forgiven, just don't let it happen again." He managed to crack a smile at them before his eyes turned cold. "As for you, I'll have you escorted out immediately."
Rainbow grabbed Lovesick by his robe, forcefully dragging him towards the nearest elevator.
"You think it's funny to cause them trouble, do you wanna be held accountable for their firing." He hissed at him so only he could hear him.
"It surely would be a pity." He mumbled back sarcastically. "Once they don't have to work anymore they can just spend the whole day with me, every day of the week~"
"I can't believe they would be friends with such needy wreck as yourself."
"And I can't believe they would willingly work for someone as bossy and awful as you."
The two yellow puppets growled at eachother but just before the elevator spores closed the human jumped in.
"Careful!" Both men shouted, as the doors nearly crushed their head.
Y/n let out a awkward chuckle as both Rainbow and Lovesick where now holding onto them protectively.
"My dear employee, please just wait in the building. I'll take care of this... issue." He said, the last word laced in venom.
"Boss I messed up but please let me handle this." They pleaded. "He's my best friend and he's already in a weak state, let me bring him home. I'll work overtime to make up for my missed shift."
"I'll call a taxi for him instead, I need you here in the factory. Preferable close by, understood?" He replied, not giving in.
Lovesick was watching from the sidelines, very jealous with the lack of attention he was receiving from Y/n.
The voices in his head told him to take action, to get rid of the obstacle in their way.
So he did the only logical thing... biting Rainbow in his normal functioning arm. Harshly-
Y/n tried to pull him off immediately but also tried to protect Lovesick from getting hit by Rainbows metal prosthetic claw like weapon.
To make things work the ruckus in the elevator caused it break down, so now the trio was stuck till help arrived.
Everything was going out of control!
"Are you proud of yourself..."
Y/n asked sarcastically as Lovesick was curled up next to them. He was laying with his head on their lap, looking like he was living the dream.
"Hm-mm it's so nice laying next to you." Lovesick looked pleased, faking ignorance too the question.
You gave him a soft smack on his head, hoping he would to behave.
Rainbow pacing around in the small room, calling someone from his phone to get the elevator working again.
Y/n stared at the fresh bite marks on his arm, once again feeling very guilty. They tugged on his labcoat to get his attention.
"Here, you can sit down next to me. It's better to spare your energy." They patted the empty space next to them.
"Thanks..." He obliged, sighing tiredly.
While seating himself on the ground his hand collided with theirs. Rainbow wondered if Y/n would say anything of it but they didn't so he let it rest of top of their hand.
"Once we are out of here I will personally escort that feral menace to the grinder for biting me."
"Next time I bite you I'll make sure to take your whole arm so you can get another matching prosthetic."
"You two need to stop bickering seriously-"
