Y/n wasn't sure what had possessed them to dial that number. The advertisement had been so strange, crumpled paper on a telephone pole, faded ink and all, reading: "Babysitter Needed. Inquire within. Immediate Hire." No name, no details. Just a number at the bottom. Most people would've laughed it off as a prank, or something worse.

But Y/n? They loved kids, and they needed the extra cash. So, they called.

Their first mistake.

The phone didn't ring. It didn't even buzz. No dial tone, no waiting. One moment they were holding the phone to their ear, and in the next moment, a smooth, calm voice answered on the other end. Too calm. Too perfect.

"Oh, hello, new neighbor." The voice said, dripping with charm. "You've called just in time. How lovely."

There was something... off about the voice. Polished, yet too rehearsed, as if the speaker wasn't used to normal conversation. They frowned, shifting uncomfortably. "Uh, hi. I saw your ad about babysitting?"

"Oh yes." The voice replied, silky smooth. "You're just what I'm looking for."

Before Y/n could respond, everything went dark. It wasn't sudden like a light switch; it felt more like the world had been gently snuffed out. One moment they were in their cozy apartment, standing by the kitchen window, and the next... nothing.

When Y/n opened their eyes again, they were no longer in their apartment.

Instead, they were standing in the middle of a room, no, not a room, more like a strange, distorted home. The walls curved in ways that shouldn't have been possible, and everything was painted in shades of deep reds, like a twisted painting of a cozy cabin. The air smelled faintly of cherries, strawberries, and apples, all blending together in an oddly sweet, suffocating scent.

And then they saw him.

Ȩ̵̟̣̗̠͗͊͋̾̈̕͝v̴̡̙͖̹͈̀̀͝͝ͅi̸̗̤̽̿̇l̷̨̻͕̞͍̙̣͋̐̈́͗̀͠ W̶̢̢̗̙̥̦͙̍̕ͅa̵̜̹̓̇̏l̶̠̼̬̹͊̌̒̃͂̐̎̋̊̕l̶͍͕̜̪͎̣͑͌͒̽ỷ̸̨̪̺̼͇̌̈́̎̒́͛̈́̚͘ͅ

He was small but somehow imposing. His felt skin was a dull grey, what should've been a friendly face now dominated by two eerie, glowing red dots for eyes. His famous pompadour hairstyle was still intact, but everything else about him was... wrong. He wore a sleek, dark grey suit, perfectly tailored, and he stared at them with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

"Ah, there you are." He said, hands clasped in front of him. "Welcome to my world, neighbor."

They stumbled back, panic bubbling in their chest. "W-what is this? Where am I?!"

Evils smile widened ever so slightly. "You're in my Home, of course. And since you applied for the position, you're here to look after it."

Y/n blinked, confusion mixing with fear. "Look after... what? I— I didn't—"

Before they could finish, the house, Home, seemed to tremble slightly, as though reacting to Evils words. A small, creaking sound came from the walls, like someone shifting in their sleep. Then, the walls... shifted. A small part of Home peeled away from the ceiling and floated down, shrinking as it moved, until it became the size of a plush doll. It hovered next to Evil, who gently patted it.
