In the bustling world of television, there was a show that had captured the hearts of viewers for generations, and at the center of it all was a vibrant yellow puppet.
He had a striking blue pompadour that stood out like a beacon, and his lavender eyes sparkled with charisma. Reboot was a character from the famous TV show 𝒲𝑒𝓁𝒸𝑜𝓂𝑒𝐻𝑜𝓂𝑒 a show set in a cozy house filled with a diverse cast of puppets.
But it was a bit different from the original version, as this was the late '90s rebooted version.
The current main star was rather particular about that distinction. 𝙃𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙉𝙊𝙏𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩
Any mention of it would instantly sour his mood. But in his own mind, he considered himself the superior and better character.
And it showed in his attitude, he was very well... overconfident and a bit full of himself.
Life on the set of 𝒲𝑒𝓁𝒸𝑜𝓂𝑒𝐻𝑜𝓂𝑒 was about to take an unexpected turn. A new actor was introduced to the show, and this time, it was a human named Y/n.
Their character was intended to be the love interest of Reboot, something they both hadn't initially signed up for, but the producers had other plans.
Romance was a very popular genre in the media.
From the moment the new actor stepped onto the set, the main star would often try to embarrass them with flirty pick-up lines, relishing in the chance to flaunt his charm.
They however, where unimpressed by his cocky attitude. Having joined the show to pursue their acting career, not to deal with a his antics.
Their first introduction went somewhat like this...
The main star hadn't been able too resist the urge to turn on his charm as soon as he met his supposed love interest. His pompadour practically gleamed with confidence as he sauntered over to them.
Reboot placed himself into their view. "Ah, my dear." He began, his lavender eyes twinkling with mischief. "Are you a magician? Because whenever I look at you, everyone else disappears."
Y/n raised an eyebrow, unamused by his theatrics. "Nice try." They replied with a hint of sarcasm. "But I've heard better pick-up lines before."
Undeterred, he leaned in closer, a sly grin on his face. "Well then, how about this one? Are you made of copper and tellurium? Because you're Cu-Te."
A faint blush graced their cheeks but they quickly tried to hide it. "You have to try harder than that."
And he took that as a challenge, making sure to make their face to red. Especially in front of the cameras.
As the days turned into weeks, something unexpected began to happen. Despite his showy exterior, the human saw glimpses of the puppet beneath the bravado.
"Darling, they say the camera adds ten pounds, but trust me, it's done wonders for my charisma."
"Charisma, huh? I guess I'll be the judge of that."
Y/n scoffed as Reboot made the confident claim. They gave him a playful nudge in his sides.
"You know, I thought puppets were supposed to be cute and cuddly, not cocky and charming."
"Trust me, I can do cute and cuddly too, just wait and see."
Y/n was getting a bit flustered as Reboot took their hands placing it against his cheeks. It was quite a adorable action. (See the picture at the top)
"Your so squishy!"
"Mhmhm~"
He was letting out a content sigh as his felt his face being caressed by them. It felt heavenly.
Their interactions slowly evolved from playful teasing to genuine conversations.
Y/n discovered that there was more to Reboot than met the eye. He was not just a bundle of energy and narcissism; he had depth and warmth hidden beneath that bright exterior.
And Reboot, for the first time in a long time, found himself forming a true connection. He realized that he didn't have to prove anything to them or anyone else.
One evening, under the twinkling studio lights, he looked at them with a sincere smile and said, "You know, you're not too bad for a human, and I guess I'm not such a bad puppet either."
They chuckled, their initial annoyance replaced by genuine fondness. "I suppose you're right. Maybe we're both better versions of ourselves when we're together."
And so, in the whimsical world of 𝒲𝑒𝓁𝒸𝑜𝓂𝑒𝐻𝑜𝓂𝑒 Reboot and Y/n discovered that sometimes the most unlikely pairs could find true friendship and even love amidst the laughter and lights of a TV show.
