"Good catch! That was like a random trust exercise and you passed the test."
Y/n laughed trying to play off the situation like this was totally planned and nothing went wrong. In reality they where just thinking of this lie on the spot.
Though it was difficult for them to look Rainbow in the eyes when he had that unamused serious glare on his face.
"So uhh... think you can put me down now..."
Guess again. He ain't loosening his hold.
The worker was being held in arms of their boss as he caught them upon walking in their office.
The daredevil had been attempting to climb the walls and ceiling and failed. Landing them in the strong muscular arms of mister mean who hates anything that's out of order.
Y/n's latest act of acrobatics and defying gravity seemed like just another silly stunt, but it quickly turned into an embarrassing incident for them and a frustrating one for Rainbow.
And this wasn't the first slip-up either.
It was a wonder they wheren't fired yet.
"Good grip you have there. You've been working out... no? Not all that talkative-" Y/n rambled as they poked his prosthetic arm.
"You and I are gonna have a serious talk about safety rules." Rainbow said in a strict reprimanding tone.
After the scolding was over they made a mental note to be more cautious and think twice before doing something impulsively in the workplace.
Especially with him around.
Y/n learned a valuable lesson... and no not about workplace safety and what is and isn't appropriate behavior in a professional environment.
None of that.
But about how gravity sucks and should be challenged. Always.
Rainbow continued to secretly watch out for their safety through the security cameras and using the intercom to call them out when he saw them attempt something stupid or shameless again.
Which meant he only made his own life more busy.
He cares in his own way.
