"Neighbor! Why aren't you spending time with me?!"

"Cause I like to spend some quality alone time... go bother someone else."

The accusing way of how Opposite sounded was such a turn off actually. It's not like Y/n avoided him on purpose but when he acted like he was entitled to their attention they just wanted to ignore him.

As they tried to walk around him he continued following them, trying to block their path.

"We will be spending time together, I'm not letting you out of my sight."

"Boy if you don't get out of my face this second I-"

The human felt their eyes twitch, they where just done grocery shopping and just wanted to go home.

The hot-heated puppet was just begging for beating in their opinion. Knowing how stubborn he was, he would probably invite himself into their house as well.

You needed a new tactic to get rid of him.

"You wanna hang out? Let's play a hide and seek."

"Ugh that's such a childish game." He scoffed arrogantly.

Y/n only felt their annoyance grow, they forced themselves to smile at him. They adjusted their hold on their bag as they stood.

"You are the seeker, once you find me we can do something you like, sounds reasonable?"

"Fine I guess... And what if I don't find you?"

They didn't anwser, only staring at him with a empty expression.

"Isn't this a bit mean?"

Frank hesitantly asked, as he was staring into the distance, his eyes focused on a certain something or someone.

"Haha are you kidding me this is hilarious!"

Y/n laughed in amusement, as they where laying in the tall grass and flower fields that hid their presence from prying eyes.

You where having a blast!

The grocery bag laid next to them, they had opened a bag of candy and their croissants to munch on in the meantime.

Y/n and Opposite never specified a time limit or all the places that could or could not be used to hide at. He was a dumb dumb and would never think to check the area outside the neighborhood.

Now they where just chilling with Frank, truly the only nice and calm one out if everyone who lived here.

He had stumbled upon them on accident, he only intended to check out the butterflies that flew around here.

He seemed to find the situation a bit worrying, feeling bad for seeing his fellow neighbor desperately looking around but he didn't want to snitch on his friend either.

"You know... he really cares for you even if he's terrible at expressing it."

"No way! He's just clingy cause- I don't even know why but certainly not because of any feelings towards me. That's crazyyyy."

Y/n objected looking at Frank with a look of disbelief.

He looked away awkwardly, contemplating if it was smart to share the truth or not.

"Actually he confided in me a while ago."

"Frank stop please."

Y/n was in all honesty just as bad at confronting or handling their feelings as Opposite. They didn't want to think of them both as anything more than neighbors at best.

They didn't want to admit there might even be a tiny possibility of them liking him back.

They had been hurt in the past by ex lovers.

Y/n didn't want to feel some temporary happiness only to have it crumble again once things didn't work out.

You and Opposite where just not meant like that...

"He told me he loved you and asked me for advice to handle it. I could tell he was sincere."

FUCKK

Y/n groaned curling up in a ball wishing they could just ignore those words. They could hear Opposite coming closer, still looking for them.
