We'll talk after

I woke up the next morning and rolled over to look at the clock, 8am. I knew I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep so I let Holly into the back garden so she could do her business. I walked into the kitchen and made myself a coffee, my mind wandering to the blonde currently asleep in my bed right now.

I'm scared about how she's going to react when she wakes up and sees she's not in her own bed. I'm hoping we can at least talk about this, I know I can't get her back but I'd at least like to be friends. Seeing her again just makes me realise I want her in my life, and if it's just as friends then so be it.

I grabbed some ibuprofen from the cupboard and filled up a glass with water and made my way upstairs. I slowly and quietly made my way into my room, thankfully Leah was still fast asleep but I assume she's going to have one hell of a headache in the morning.

I leave the glass and the pills on the bedside table as I looked over to Leah. She was sprawled out in the middle of the bed, a few bits of hair has fallen over her face and all I wanted to do was use my fingers to tuck them behind her ear, but I can't. She looked so peaceful and it kills me that I've lost her.

I let out a soft sigh as I made my back downstairs and poured myself a coffee.

After about 30 minutes, I heard Leah shuffling about upstairs as I took in deep breath, palms sweating as I started to get nervous. I decided I would make her some breakfast, hopefully she'll eat it this time.

Leah's POV:
I woke up the next morning with a banging headache and no memory of the night before. I sat up in my bed, bringing my hand to my head to try and suppress the headache. Wait a minute. This isn't my bed, but it wasn't unfamiliar. Shit. This is Y/Ns bed. I groaned to myself as I looked over to see a glass of water and 2 pills. I instantly took the pills and downed the glass of water to get rid of my dry mouth. Time to face the music I guess.

I slowly made my way downstairs, trying to prepare myself for whatever is about to happen. I walked into the kitchen as Y/N had her back to me, dressed in only a sports bra and shorts. My eyes ran along her back and my eyebrows furrowed as I noticed the scars. I could only describe some of them as marks from a cattle prod.

That's when I realised they must have been from last year when she was tortured. The thought instantly made me feel sick as tears started to brim my eyes.

I made my way towards her as she still didn't notice my presence. I just couldn't help myself as I gently ran my finger across the few scars on her back as I felt her tense underneath my touch. She turned around to look at me but my eyes only followed her movements as there were more scars on her stomach. The tears that I tried to hold back now started to fall freely.

"What did they do to you?", I whispered sadly as she brought her hand up to my cheek and wiped away my tears. My body instantly reacted to her as I relaxed into her touch.

"It's fine", she mumbled out as she went to put on a jumper but I gently grabbed her wrist to stop her.

"You don't have to hide from me Y/N/N", I said softly as she just smiled.

"It was a long time ago, I'm okay now", she smiled but I didn't quite believe her but I decided to let it go, she'll talk when she's ready.

"I made breakfast, if you'll eat it this time", she said with a smirk as I just rolled my eyes.

"Depends how it tastes", I replied back smiling.

"Shut up", she laughed out. Probably the most genuine laugh I've heard from her since last year.

We both sat down to eat in silence, though it wasn't uncomfortable, it wasn't exactly comfortable either. I kept stealing glances at her, looking away everytime she caught me as I started to blush. Still having the same effect on me as she did last year.
