Once we walked inside the venue, me and Leah took our place at the long table facing the smaller tables, with our maids of honour and bridesmaids sitting beside us. We ate the dinner and dessert, and had some drinks, just water for me of course. We all conversed with each other before Em stood up and started clinking her glass.
"Oh no", I groaned into Leah's shoulder as she grabbed my hand and kissed my head.
"So I first met Y/N/N when she became a detective and they made us partners, so a little over 9 years now. We instantly clicked and I knew we would become good friends. We've been through hell and back together, quite literally", she said with a laugh before she continued. "I remember how distraught she was when Leah hadn't messaged her we decided a night out was the way to go, I secretly messaged Lia and asked them and the rest of the girls to meet up with us and that was that. Standing her today and watching you get married makes me so happy because you deserve this, you deserve a happy life, and your dad would be proud. I love you", Em said getting choked up as I teared up. I stood up and pulled her in for a hug.
Lia made a speech as well as our bridesmaids and parents, all very heartfelt which made our hearts swell. Once that was finished, it was time for mine and Leah's first dance. We decided to each pick a song as we couldn't choose.
Me and Leah made our way to the dance floor and Lover by Taylor Swift started to play. I wrapped my arms around her neck and hers went around my waist as we gently swayed to the music.
"Of course you went for Taylor Swift", I joked with her as she rolled her eyes.
"The lyrics are relatable", she said lovingly as they started to ring out.

"It feels so good to call you my wife", Leah whispered as she kissed the side of my head. I nuzzled my head into her neck and placed a light kiss on her neck.
"It feels good to be your wife", we both giggled as we continued to sway to the music, my eyes closing as a smile of contentment washed over my face.
And I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you. Leah tightened her grip on me at the lyrics as I pulled away and smirked at her as she jokingly rolled her eyes.

"I could make a lot of dirty jokes right now", Leah whispered into my ear as I smiled.
"Save those for Greece tomorrow", I said biting my lip as Leah smirked and the song came to an end. The song I chose instantly started to play. Those eyes by New West. Leah smiled down at me as we started to dance again. This song just felt perfect to me because of those eyes of hers, those ocean blue ones I fell in love with.
