"How do you think she'll take it?", I asked Leah nervously as I paced around the kitchen. We were waiting for Ava to finish school and for Katie to drop her off.

"Stop stressing, it's not good for either of you", Leah said kissing my temple and placing a hand on my stomach.

"I know, I'm sorry", I sighed as Leah pulled me into her. We sat in silence until the door opened and in walked Katie and Ava.

"Hope she didn't cause you any trouble", Leah said raising a brow in Ava's direction.

"Nope, no problems", Katie said laughing.

"Thank you for looking after her for us", I said gratefully as Katie gave both me and Leah a hug.

"Anytime, so how was the honeymoon?", she asked as Leah gave me a smirk.

"It was amazing", I said dreamily, thinking about our 2 weeks away.

"I'm glad, well I'll let you 3 catch up and I'll see you tomorrow", Katie said as we all said bye to her. Everyone was coming over tomorrow so we could tell them the news but we decided on telling Ava first.

"Miss us then?", Leah asked cheekily as Ava rolled her eyes.

"Eh, not really", she smirked but her actions contradicted her words when she walked over and gave us both a hug.

"We both need to tell you something", I said interlocking my fingers with Leah's.

"Oh god, who died?", she asked.

"Wh-what? No one", I said confused.

"Sorry, you both just look nervous or whatever", she shrugged taking an apple from the fruit bowl and eating it.

"Well eh- we um-"

"We're pregnant", I said cutting off Leah's stuttering.

"Oh", Ava said looking down before looking back at us and giving us a smile. "Congratulations", she said but she seemed deflated.

"What's wrong?", Leah asked concerned as Ava shook her head.

"Nothing I just- does this mean I need to find somewhere else to go?", she asked sadly.

"What? No, why would you think that?", I asked her softly as she shrugged.

"You'll need the space", she mumbled as me and Leah shared knowing looks.

"Ava", Leah said getting her attention before I could say anything. "We have another spare room, and even if we didn't, you're stuck with us. We love you, you're our daughter Ava, don't think for one second just because we're having another baby means we'll love you any less or love the baby more than you", Leah said softly making my heart swell. I smiled at her as I noticed a smile creep onto Ava's face as she wrapped her arms round Leah's neck and hugged her.

"So I'm going to be a big sister then?", she asked smiling.

"Yeah, you are", I said as Leah beamed over at me.

"Cool", she said smiling happily making me and Leah laugh. Leah cooked dinner for the 3 of us and Ava told us about how her day at school went.

"And then me and Mia ate our lunch outside because Tom is sick so he wasn't in today", Ava finished her story as me and Leah shared knowing looks.

"So this Mia, when do we get to meet her?", I asked as Ava shrugged.

"I could invite her to dinner?", Ava suggested.

"That would be nice, so you're just friends?", Leah asked as I have her a pointed look to which she just shrugged at me.

"Eh, y-yeah", Ava started which gave me and Leah the answers we needed.

"I'm glad you're making friends", I said, I didn't want to push her on this because if she wants to talk to us, she will. We finished dinner and cleaned up as Ava went to her room.

"What if we got adoption papers?", Leah asked me out of no where.

"Eh, yeah, yeah, it's a good idea", I said.

"We don't have to I just-", Leah said noticing my surprised looks before I cut her off.

"No, it's a great idea. We can sort it tomorrow morning and talk to her after everyone leaves", I said placing a kiss on Leah's lips. "I love you"

"I love you"

Me and Leah went for a shower and decided to chill downstairs on the sofa and watch some movies. Ava stayed in her room for a while, not usually wanting to sit with us, but tonight she came down and shuffled shyly over to the single sofa. Me and Leah smiled at each other as I cuddled further into her chest.
