It was absolutely freezing, that was the first thing that came to mind as Kalani walked through a castle. The room was covered in ice, and Kalani had the pleasure of walking through it barefoot. And even though she was sure that she wouldn't remember this, she tried her engrave everything that she saw into her memory.

From the hall of portraits that were frozen over to the hall of jewels that still managed to have a faint shine to them even through the thin layers of ice. But what really caught her attention wasn't the huge crown covered with diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds.

It was a crescent tiara encrusted with small diamonds, pearls and sapphires. It seemed like a less extravagant version of the crown that she'd seen before this one. Kalani couldn't stop herself as she placed a warm hand on the frozen glass.

Just then, she got a weird feeling in her gut- almost like she was being pulled further into the castle. But no matter how hard she tried; she couldn't stop her feet from taking one step then another.

Her feet guided her all the way to a room that had two beautiful thrones except they were almost completely transparent. But that wasn't the weirdest part, sitting atop the first throne was a man with beautiful silver hair and deep brown eyes

And sitting atop the second throne was a woman with dark skin, chocolate brown curls that fell down her back and steely grey eyes, she cradled a baby bump. That was her mother. She remembered her from the pictures that Tecna showed her. But how was she seeing this?

  Tis a memory.

An eerie voice spoke. Kalani turned left then right trying to see if she could spot the mystery person, but she couldn't. They'd disappeared just as quickly as they appeared.

You know who they are Kalani. You know who I am.

They spoke again, but she still couldn't see them, and she'd had just about enough. "Those are my biological parents; I know for a fact, but I have no clue as to who you are, and I've had just enough of your lingering presence. So, either come forward and I can see you or leave me alone entirely."

It's not time for that just yet. You needn't worry about who I am.

So then when would it be time? When Kalani was wrinkled and old? "Then why bring me to whatever this place is?!" She was basically screaming at this point, but she didn't make an effort to stop.

Because your time will soon come. I wasn't prepared for the destruction of my home. But I can hope that you're able to clean the mess left behind by both your predecessors and your enemies.

Kalani nearly scoffed. "I hated cleaning up other people's mess back on earth. Why would I do it in the magic dimension? Especially for my enemies!"

The spirits voice wavered and wavered as if the next words were strong enough to make her cry- (and in this case it was).

You are so much like your mother, so headstrong. Which is why I can only hope that you will heed my warnings. Dark times are ahead of you, Ankia. And I can only hope that you are prepared.

Kalani's vison began swimming in and out.

You have to wake up young one. I will be here when needed.

Kalani was pulled from her dream world and back into the real world where she woke to Musa shaking her awake. When the music fairy noticed that she was awake, she dramatically sighed with relief.
