Finally, after a week of grueling midterms, test and other academic things that needed to be done before the semester ended, the girls were finally allowed a weeklong break. Bloom returned to Gardenia to visit her parents while Kalani elected to stay on campus with the others seeing as her last encounter with her parents was... awkward.
At the moment, the girls were all gathered in Stella's room recounting their midterm with Professor Palladium, but it was obvious that everyone was more curious as to how they managed to beat the Trix and break the simulation machine simultaneously.
"So how did you do it? If my memory is correct, the Trix have nearly bested you and Bloom on multiple occasions. So, it shouldn't have been that simple." Tecna recited as Kalanai reached over her and grabbed a piece of popcorn.
"I don't know, maybe it was because of the training." She muttered, but it didn't go unnoticed by any of her friends. Stella scrambled over Flora and Musa, earning more than a few upset grumbles as they glared at their friends' backside.
"What training? And did it involve any cute boys?" Stella all but shrieked as she stared at her friend expectantly.
"It involved Andreas and one of his friends... Helia. Yeah, that was his name." She shrugged as she reached for more popcorn, only for the bowl to have disappeared from where it initially was. Kalani glanced around the bed where she noticed Musa had the bowl tucked into her side, a place Kalani couldn't reach.
"Musa!" She whined as she flopped back on the bed, landing comfortably on her back. "Tell us what happened at this training, and you'll get the popcorn. Deal?" She asked, shaking the bowl next to her ear, taunting her with the snack.
"Nothing happened! Andreas showed me a few more ways to utilize my magic besides those blasts of energy. Helia even stepped in at one point and taught me how to create capture weapons, but I wasn't able to use it in the simulation."
Pushing aside her disappointment pertaining to the popcorn, Kalani pushed herself back up and formed four rings, each being hooked to the other with a chain that was draped across the back of her hand. "But for the most part, he sat off to the side, either watching Andreas or drawing in his sketchbook."
A few seconds later, the ring dissolved in a series of golden wisps that danced in the air before disappearing into nothingness. Stella swooned, crumbling onto Flora as she dramatically sighed. "So, he's a warrior by day, artist by night? God, he sounds dreamy." She fawned, fanning herself with her hand.
"I don't know about that, but he seems like a decent person." She said as she reached for the popcorn. "And you were right about one thing: he's pretty dreamy." Stella let out a boisterous laugh, catching the Winx off guard as they'd never heard her sound like that.
"Now, enough about me, what's going on with you and Prince Sky, Stella?" The princess' face quickly bloomed red as her eyes widened at Kalani brashness. "I mean, it's not a huge secret that I like him, but I'm worried about him not liking me back." She explained.
Stella was disappointed, something that Kalani and the others noticed right away. "Stella, you're a wonderful girl, and if he can't see that, then that's his loss. I'm sure you can find another person that'll treat you like a queen." Flora said, reaching over and gently gripping her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze for extra measure.
"Plus, he seems head over heels for you. So, I don't think you'd have to worry about him not reciprocating feelings." Kalani chimed before her eyes darted over to Musa, who'd been quiet during the whole conversation.
But that wasn't entirely strange. After all, it wasn't a secret that she harbored a bit of a crush towards the brazen specialist, but after his sudden betrayal to his teammates and the Winx, along with his sudden infatuation with Darcy, Musa began to withdraw from any gatherings the girls held seeing as the topic would constantly drift to crushes, boyfriends and other things of that nature.
