Kalani and Andreas had a wonderful time with Lewis. They'd spent nearly two hours reminiscing chaotic stories about Kalani in her infancy. But behind her smile, Kalani was still puzzled about her mother's drastic change in demeanor.

And although Andreas couldn't tell, Lewis knew that something was still weighing on her mind. She had a habit of jerking her foot from side to side when she was too deep in a thought. "Lani, what's up?" He asked her.

Her eyes darted from the floor where she was staring at a crack in one of tiles to her father whose posture was slouched. "Mom told you to stop slouching, it's not good for your back." She muttered. Lewis let out a heartly laugh that echoed throughout the entire classroom. "That she did, but we both know that what Andrea wanted isn't what's on your mind."

She wrung her fingers as she tried to think of a response. "M— mom had a really strange reaction when she saw Andreas. When we initially walked in, she was grinning from ear to ear, but when she noticed Andreas, she looked panicked and called him Alastor."

Lewis' face hardened as he took in what was just said. But when he focused again, his attitude was different. "I think it's best that you two head back to Magix. It's about time that I head home and prepare for tomorrows exams. And on top of that, there are also papers that need grading."

Kalani and Andreas complied, keeping their goodbyes short before leaving for Magix.

It was nearing four o'clock when the two were back out in the city of Gardenia, and both of them were confused. But before they could ponder on it for any longer, Kalani's cell phone ringing pulled them from their thoughts. When she fished it out of her purse, Bloom's name flashed upon the screen.

She quickly answered it, but when she hung up, her face showed that she was really confused. "We need to get back to Magix." Was all she said before turning down an abandoned alleyway. They needed a secluded place where they wouldn't be noticed when the spell was performed.

Andreas quickly followed behind her, but before he could ask her any questions, a bright light blinded him, but when it died down, he realized that it was a portal. "What's going on?" He shouted over the billowing wind.

"The Trix impersonated Timmy and now Riven and Brandon are in danger." While Kalani jumped through the portal, Andreas tried to wrap his head around it all. But after a couple seconds, he quickly followed suite, and the portal closed after he went through.

The way back to Magix wasn't any different from when they'd use the portal for their trip to Gardenia, but the nauseating feeling was ten times worse on the way back as opposed to on the way there.

Andreas doubled over and emptied his stomach contents, and somewhere else, he heard Kalani gag before she muttered something under breath. Three gentle pats to his shoulder told him that she hadn't left like he'd thought.

Once he was done, Kalani dug down into her purse and pulled out a pack of breath mints. Wordlessly, he accepted and grabbed three. Quickly downing them, he found that the cool air that the mints provided soothed his scratchy throat.

Once he was sure his voice wouldn't sound off, he asked her "Did they say anything else?" Kalani shook her head no, while she raked a hand through her hair. "I know about as much as you do at the moment." She replied.

After regaining their bearings, the two made their way to Magix city, where the day of the rose was taking place.

Magix city was bustling with loads of people who were all gathered around to watch the races and participate in the festivities, and that made the task of finding the two fairies much harder than it should've been.

But seeing as Stella mentioned that the races were about to begin, she had a starting place. "They're by the hotel! The track is where it's taking place!" Kalani shouted. Together, the two teens raced through the crowds all while trying to avoid being trampled.

On the other side of the sidewalk, Andreas noticed a blonde head weaving her way through the people, and not too far ahead of her was a redhead— Bloom and Stella. He grabbed Kalani's arm, and they quickly caught up to the duo. "Finally! Someone was pretending to be Timmy!" Shouted Bloom.

A loud horn blared through the air, signifying that the race had begun.

Bloom, Kalani, Stella and Andreas all turned the corner and into an abandoned alleyway. "I don't know how but someone's got to stop Riven! Before it's too late." Bloom was enveloped in a bright light, and when it died down, she was transformed into her fairy form.

But before anyone could question her, she took off, racing after Riven. The remaining three shared a look before rushing off in an attempt to keep up with Bloom, but it was too late. Just as Bloom started to catch up to Riven, his own helmet shocked him, sending jolts of electricity down his body.

His bike crashed into another competitors own and sent him flying through the air. He was sent as least twenty feet in the air before he came crashing down, but his competitor managed to catch him before his accident turned fatal.

Andreas, Kalani and Stella quickly hopped the barricades and rushed to join the others side, but the damage had already been done. Somebody was looming over Riven, using magic to wake him.

The two shared a conversation, which resulted in them taking their helmet off. Dirty blonde hair tumbled down their back, and that made it easy to recognize his competitor. It was Darcy.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Andreas muttered. "Bloom quickly rushed over to try and pull the two apart, but that quickly backfired when Riven began to chew her out. "This is all your fault! I saw you behind me. I don't know how you did it but it was you who deactivated my helmet just so Brandon could win."

His accusatory tone took them all by surprise, but Brandon was the first one to speak up. "Hey! I only won by default." Riven snatched the headphones from his ears and threw it at Bloom. "Here's your stupid present back."

"It was the Trix! Please, you've got to be believe me. They sent a Timmy lookalike to give me the helmet! It was all a dirty trick." Bloom was pleading with Riven for him to see her point of things, was Riven refused to listen.

"Timmy won't be back before this evening. Come up with a better excuse, Bloom." He scoffed. Kalani glared at him before directing her attention back to Bloom. "Of course we believe you. But there's got to be an explanation."

"So, you believe her over me? Is that the way it is?" Riven looked around at his teammates before repeating himself. "Is that the way it is, Brandon?"

"We're only trying to understand." Sky tried to remediate the situation, but that only made Riven angrier. "I've had it! I'm through with you all. Tonight, I'm going to ask to be transferred to another squad of specialists."

Riven stormed off and was accompanied by Darcy, leaving the three fairies and their companions behind at the festival. "I swear, it was another one of the witch's tricks." Bloom muttered; her eyes were welling up with tears that quickly rolled down her cheeks.

"No, sweetie. Don't cry. We all know that it was the Trix. Stella and I could recognize Darcy's dirty green hair from a mile away." Kalani wiped the tearstains from Bloom's face before enveloping her in a hug.
