Bloom and Kalani decided that they'd share a room instead of Kalani going home with Andrea and Lewis and spending the night with them. And while Bloom managed to sleep soundly, Kalani's mind wouldn't allow her a single moments peace.
What if Bloom truly never wanted to return to Alfea, would she still want to stay there? She'd already learned about her family, even if they were stuck in another realm somewhere in the magic dimension.
What would Andrea and Lewis say if she decided to stay in Gardenia with Bloom? Would they be disappointed in her for not wanting to learn about her heritage and who she truly was even if she already learned as much as she could.
Her mind wandered to her friends, who seemed sad when they learned that Bloom wanted to leave, which was appropriate given all that they'd went through together.
Would they feel the same way that they felt for Bloom, or would they continue as if everything was normal because they knew that wherever Bloom went, she was sure to follow?
Lastly, her mind drifted to Helia and Andreas, two people that she'd learned to hold dear in her heart. While she hadn't known Andreas for very long, she learned to hold him close, especially after learning that they were siblings who'd been separated somehow.
And Helia, who's smile was engraved in her brain. The flowers that he'd given her earlier in the day were back in the magic dimension, charmed by a certain nature fairy to last as long as she wished.
Somehow, after the midterms, she found herself gravitating towards him in ways unimaginable. And somewhere along the way, a need for friendship turned into butterflies in her stomach whenever she thought of him.
Somewhere along the way, Kalani managed to catch feelings for the young specialist, and she hadn't even realized it.
In a spur of the moment, she reached over and grabbed her cellphone, suddenly remembering her promise to either call or text him later on.
She quickly unlocked it and scrolled to find his contact. Once she finally did that, she texted him a short message
Sorry I'm texting you so late, I just remembered that I told you that I'd do this.
You'll probably see this in the morning, so good morning, I think. She shut her phone off and placed back on the dresser, but when it vibrated, she quickly reached over and grabbed it with a grin on her face.
Well then good morning, Princess.
See what I did there? :)Laughing to herself, her thumbs rapidly hit the screen of her phone before she hit send.
Haha. Everyone's a comedian, huh?
I'm a princess of a destroyed kingdom and I practically have no to claim to anything.Instead of turning her phone off like she'd done before, she kept it opened and watched as he typed out his message before sending it.
If it helps, you have a claim to my heart.
In the wise words of William Shakespear: I would not wish any companion in the world but you.Just as she prepared to type out a message, he beat her to the punch with one of his own.
Now, go to sleep. You'll hate yourself in the morning if you don't.
She smiled before sending her final message.
Good night, Helia.
Good night, Princess.

The next morning, Bloom and Kalani decided to take a bike ride in hopes of clearing their minds. But when a familiarly shrill voice sounded to their right, their hope for doing anything quickly diminished.
