After dinner, the girls took the time to roam the halls and discuss their plans for the dance. "Classes are cancelled, and this is just the second day." Tecna seemed a little more peeved about it than the other girls.
"What exactly do we need to do for the party anyways?" Kalani asked. Surely this party must've been a big thing if all of their classes were cancelled. "Easy Kalani, just get ready to have a ball." Stella triumphantly threw her fist in the air in a fit of happiness.
"I'll provide the decorations." Flora snapped her finger, and a vine of roses grew around one of the pillars. "And I'll take care of the music. What's a party without dancing?!" In the short time that they'd known each other, Kalani learned that dancing was one of Musa's biggest passions.
"And I'll worry about what to wear. Because clothes are important too." Once they got back to the apartment, Stella pulled out the dress that she intended to wear to tonight's gala. "And of course, I refuse to go unnoticed." The dress itself was a stunning orange with blue stitching along the bottom half of the top section.
"Well, what do you think?" She asked. Kalani responded by snapping her fingers while Bloom responded with "It's gorgeous." And Kalani agreed. "Mind you, it wasn't cheap. But look at it. It was calling me from the shop window. 'Buy me, buy me please!' "
"And of course, you answered it plea. How very noble of you." Musa jested. "Well, I am bound to make an impression." Flora laughed a bit following the princess' words. "I hear the guys from red fountain are pretty cute."
Tecna's head whizzed in Flora's direction as if she was repulsed by what she'd said. "Guys? As if I care about that." But Musa saw right through her words... supposedly. "Then why are you dressed like an absolute diva?"
Tecna's steely blue eyes zoned on the music fairy in distain. "That's beside the point. You attend a ceremony you dress accordingly." But Stella still didn't believe the fairies words. "Yeah, sure" She drawled.
But seeing as this was an event that neither earth girls knew about, they were completely unprepared. "Think they'll let me in dressed like this?" Bloom asked as she gestured to her everyday attire. "You two don't have a dress? No problem, there's a solution to everything. And in this case, it's called shopping!"

Flora, Tecna and Musa changed out of their formal wear and back into their normal clothes before they made their way to the city. When the Winx went to the first shop, Bloom tried on a red dress that had a frilly lining sewed into the end along with the top.
Kalani's first dress was a backless creme colored dress with glitter covering the entire thing. She thought it was pretty, but no one else seemed to think so. And with Bloom's dress, Flora was the only one who actually liked it. Kalani thought it made her look like a deformed jellyfish.
When they went to the second shop, Bloom tried on a yellow dress that stopped a few inches past her knees, it also came with gloves. But it was an immediate 'no' as yellow wasn't her color. Kalani's second dress was a velvet blue dress that was far too long as it bunched up at her feet.
The final shop that they went to, Bloom found a blue dress that had a small section of the stomach cut out. It was absolutely stunning, and every other girl agreed. But the price was a bit of a problem.
"Hmm, too expensive." But Stella didn't seem to see any problem. "I'll pay for it." She whipped out her card right before Flora stopped her. "No, Stella. You might offend her." And she wasn't wrong. "What about you Kalani, did you find a dress yet?"
Kalani looked around the shop one more time. "No, they didn't have anything that really caught my eye."
The girls regrouped on the sidewalk where they all finally realized the time. "It's getting kind of late, girls." Stella reminded. "Yeah, we've got to get back to Alfea." Flora stayed behind for a brief second to ensure that they would be fine.
